"Sir, I've done my job." I argued with Arun as he stood adamant.

"This won't go well with the public, Miss Ahuja." He groaned. "Fuck the formalities, I'm not even in charge of media and press but even I know this. Pihu, chaos will occur if Virat just gets back with Anushka in one night."

Yes, I was debating with Arun to send me to Dubai. Because I couldn't take it.

I had allowed something to happen that never should've happened.

I fell for the bloody bandar.

"Look, we'll start bringing Anushka in slowly." He started. "By the end of the month, you'll be free to go to Dubai."

"A month?" I looked at him. "Fine."

"Good." Arun says, as I turn to the door. "What happened though?"

"What do you mean, sir?" I questioned.

"Virat and you went along fine." He looked at me. "What happened that changed your mood so drastically?"

"Sir," I turned around, smiling softly at him. "I got hooked."

Virat's POV

"What's wrong?" Anushka asked as she ate her salad from the other side of the table. "You aren't eating?"

"Aare, just stop worrying!" Pihu said, stuffing apricots in his mouth. "Your muscles will deteriorate if you keep sulking." She laughed aloud.

"Virat?"

"Vee!"

"Virat!"

"I'm so sorry." I jerked out of it, shaking my head.

"What are you thinking about?" She kept her fork down. "Are- are you not okay with this?"

"No, of course not, Baby." I hurriedly pacified her, seeing as she was about to cry. I didn't like seeing anyone cry. My one damn weakness.

"Vee, please. Do your security check in." Pihu said, with tears in her eyes.

"Okay, okay!" I hurriedly took out tissues and wiped the corners of her eyes. Though gullible at that moment, I had got her back.

I tickled her.

"Because I know I made a mistake, you know that, right baby?"

"Right."

"Right." She smirked. "And you expect me to believe that you hadn't exchanged my green chutney for wasabi?" She pouted, making the others laugh.

"I hate wasabi, come on!"

"So, what dessert would you have?" She nudged me with the menu. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing." I cleared my throat. "Just going through the series with West Indies."

"Oof." Anushka said. "This is the reason why I actually went. I'm trying to make this relationship work and look at you! Still making conversation around cricket."

"I like hearing you speak on and on about cricket." Pihu said, as we were cuddling on the bed.

"There's a limit to cricket too!" Anushka was rattling on. "Virat, where are you going?"

"I have to do something." I said, getting up. "I'll call my security for you." I quickly paid the bill and walked out.

Time to make amends.

Honestly, I was going to stop at the last chapter but I just got my admission letter for B. Tech in Biotechnology at D Y Patil, and I scored a All India rank of 55, in like 6000-7000 students.
