"Oh my God, can you not?" I asked, frustrated. Virat was teasing me again and I was getting pissed off at him. Bhuvi and Jasprit had wandered off again and I was tired looking for them.
Being a tour manager for this team was hard, let me tell you.
Three hours before
"Hi!" Ritika grinned as I got in the bus as Virat put my luggage along with his in the storage. "Arun let you come?"
"Actually, I come as a tour manager." I said, her face becoming comical.
"What?" She asked, surprised. "But relationships within BCCI are not allowed! I'm surprised Arun didn't say anything about this!"
"Well, does it help that I work for ICC?" I asked. "It's just that, since I applied from India for Executive Secretary, they want me to work for BCCI for a while. The rules don't apply to me, technically." I shrugged.
"That makes more sense now." She said. "Go look after the youngsters." She giggled. "They are a handful."
She was so right.
After a minute of knowing him, Hardik decided to bail on me and wander off, along with Shami. With Dhoni's help, I was able to find them and take them back to the bus.
"Hi, guys." I said into the mic, as the bus started moving away from the BCCI building.
"Hey, Pihu." Everyone chorused back, making me blush. I mean, the whole Indian Cricket Team is saying your name. It's like a dream come true.
"So, after reaching the airport please don't wander off, I'm looking at you, Hardik." I narrowed my eyes at him, making Virat laugh.
"She's so cute, na?" He said to Yuvi, making him laugh.
"Sure." He replied, grinning.
"Other than that, enjoy and win." I said, making everyone cheer. I kept the mic and sat down next to Virat, looking over the notes I had in my hand for the airport check in and boarding.
"Relax." He said, holding my hand. "We'll make this as easy as possible."
He was so wrong.
"Vee, don't you dare." I told him, as he stopped for the millionth time to drink water. "Why can't you drink and walk?"
"The water might fa-" I dragged him to the security check. "Stand here and do the security check, please." I begged him, a few tears in my eyes.
Seeing this, he stopped. "Okay, baba. Don't cry." He hurriedly got a tissue and started wiping the corners of my eyes. So, he was susceptible to tears. Nice to know.
"Okay, let me go and check on the others." I said, sniffling and walking away, a smile on my face.
Finally, one part of my job's done.
