37. ALAM NA!

Jared's POV

Kakatapos lang namin kumain ni Louise ng lunch at nagpapahinga na sya sa kwarto nya ngayon. Andito naman ako sa sala at nanonood ng tv. I haven't sent any messages to the three kasi alam ko naman na kakaripas lang sila ng takbo dito dahil sa pag-aalala sa kanya.

And Jacob might kill me. Baka ang isipin nanaman nya, eh ako ang may kasalanan kung bakit nagkasakit si Louise. Once is enough na nung halos bugbugin nya kaming tatlo.

Every time the clock ticks, my mood falls down at gusto kong may gawin ako. Something that will keep my mind off of the time. It was 1:00 in the afternoon and I can feel the cool breeze outside. It would be better if I'm playing soccer with my friends and classmates as of now. Oh well, may sakit si bakla eh.

I frowned on the drama I was watching. It actually reminds me of my best friend before. But the difference of our stories, eh yung guy dito sa drama ay aalis na papunta sa ibang bansa at baka hindi na bumalik.

And in our story, I promised that I would be back for her...

Umiiyak na yung batang babae dahil ayaw nyang umalis yung best friend nyang lalake. Yung feeling na nalulungkot at nasasaktan ka dahil yung luha na inilalabas ng taong mahal mo ay dahil sayo. And I was like that when I left her behind...

I shook my thoughts off at kinuha ang phone ko sa may coffee table. I thought of calling one of LJ's cousins. Pag wala kasi si LJ, sila ang kinakausap ko. They all have the same attitude and aura kasi. And they always make me feel better kapag kasama ko sila.

I dialled up a number and waited for an answer..

"Hello?"

"Am I disturbing?" Sabi ko with a sly smile on my face. I know that she's frowning because of my sudden call. Oh well, sadyang pasaway lang talaga ako.

"You're a big disturbance, pick-a-boo. Now what's with the call?"

I chuckled, "Aww~ Don't be like that, Mary. I was just wondering how you guys are doing."

"Wondering? Wow! You were calling my cousins a lot this past few days and you just thought of calling me now? Daebak! I was so honoured!" I could hear sarcasm on her tone, that made me chuckle over the line. Mary may seem a bit out of this world, but I'm actually afraid of her whenever she reaches her bad side.

She and M.M. almost sent me to the hospital back then when I accidently pushed LJ off the swing. We were 5 back then, and their brains are functioning like they were a bunch of 13 year old kids who knows how to fight back.

Well, everything was just an accident. At yung moment na gusto nila akong ipadala sa hospital ng nag aagaw-buhay, ay dahil mukha ni LJ ang unang nag land sa damuhan at putok ang labi nya. Painful, at ramdam nila yun. Kaya ang gusto nila, maramdaman ko yung sakit na yun, 5 times sa nararamdaman na sakit ni LJ noon.

"Chill. I was actually thinking of calling you, but yet I'm afraid since you're always mad at me." I reasoned out. I could feel her eyes rolling at me and her sarcastic laugh on the line.

"Afraid of what? My gosh, Jared! I'm not even a monster for you to get scared of. Are you a kid, or what?"

"I'm just playing around, Mary! No need to be all so serious around. And I actually missed my in-law that's why I called. How's everyone doing?"

I heard her defeated sigh on the other end, "I'll let this one pass, Coronado. And no need to ask, every bits of us are perfectly built. No need to be oh-so-worried."
