But yes I, Avery Jenkins did exactly that.

Let me tell you how that day all started.

"Auntie! Do you know where my bag is?" I yelled out as I rummaged through my room.

"It's on your bed honey" my aunt's voice said from the door.

I jumped, my head banging to the table top. I emerged from under the desk rubbing my head and I looked over at my bed. "Of course it is" I muttered.

I stood up and grabbed my bag, shoving the books I had in my hand in there. I slung it over my shoulder. "I'd be super happy if it stayed holidays forever" I mumbled.

I walked out of my room and walked into the hallway. My aunt was just sitting down at the table, her nurse uniform still on.

"How was your shift?" I asked, walking into the kitchen.

I grabbed a banana and sat across from her. She rubbed her eyes. "Good, Jackie says hello" she said, yawning.

I stuck the end of the banana in my mouth as my phone buzzed. I fished it out and Eloise's name flashed on the screen.

"I have to go now, but I love you, get some sleep and take plenty of painkillers" I said leaning over the table to kiss her cheek.

She just waved me away. "Have a good day at school, no getting into trouble" she said, standing up and walking towards her room.

"I'll try!" I yelled out

I closed the front door behind me as I walked towards El's car. I flung the banana skin into the garden before climbing in as she was cranking up the A.C.

"Hey babs!" She said, hugging me awkwardly.

"Hey El" I replied.

"Ready for another fun term of boring as teachers and stupid as students?" She asked sarcastically.

"Totally" I replied as she drove towards the college.

"So you know what today is right?" She asked.

"April 1st" I replied, looking over at her suspiciously.

"Don't worry I'm not going to play no pranks but you should watch out for Hunter" she replied.

"Hunter? I thought he and Jamie were staying away for another week" I said, frowning.

"They were but there was a cyclone in Queensland so they just stayed here" she replied.

I tapped my knee nervously. "If Jamie's here with him that means the whole college will be pranked" I said.

"Oh yeah! According to Eleanor they've paired up this year" she said.
