Idiots, Dancing and Kisses
"So what are we doing now?" I asked Lukas as he led me away from the library.
"What do you want to do?" He asked, turning his head to look at me.
I shrugged. "I don't know, I don't really do much" I said.
He turned around, walking backwards. "Follow me" he said, smiling.
I narrowed my eyes at him playfully. "Where are we going?" I asked.
"You'll see" he replied.
He led me down the stairs and through another set of doors before stopping and grabbing his keys from his pocket. He unlocked two large white doors before letting me in first. I gasped at the grand ballroom.
"This is where we hold the lavish Enterprise parties" Lukas said, closing he doors behind us.
"Wow!" I exclaimed turning in a full circle and admiring the room.
"I feel like I just walked into the Beauty and the Beast ballroom" I replied.
Lukas was over at a small marble table, pulling his phone out of his pocket. He fiddled with something and soon enough, music was playing throughout the room. He walked over to me. "May I have this dance?" He asked.
I blushed. Dancing with him would be a totally different ball game yet I found myself giving him a yes. He took my hand and pulled me to him in a classic waltz position.
"Last time I saw you dance, you were doing it at my party with my best friend" Lukas said.I turned my head away from him. "Yes I remember that" I replied.
"I was jealous the whole time you were dancing" he said, bringing my attention back on him.
"Why didn't you just steal me back?" I asked as he twirled me under his arm.
"Because you looked happy and I hated that when you danced with me you looked sad" he replied.
I looked at me. "And what about now?" I asked.
His eyes met mine. "Do I look sad?" I asked.
"You look content" he replied, his eyes widening before looking away.
"You look confused, like you don't know what you're doing is right or not" I said.
Lukas scoffed. "You have no idea" he mumbled.
"What are you confused about?" I asked, wanting to soothe away his troubles.
"Nothing" he replied.
"Another lie, you're really not good at keeping your promises" I said, tsking at him.
"I'm confused about you, about me, about everything I'm feeling, I wonder where I fit into all of this and I wonder if I come out alive" he replied.
I placed my hand on his shoulder as we swayed back and forth. "What's to be confused about with me?" I asked, curious.
"The way you make me feel" he replied.
