Saviour, Forever and Big Promises

"Faster!" I yelled.

Collin pressed his foot down as we weaved in and out of traffic. We followed right behind the black Lamborghini and I kept it in my sights at all times. "Collin.." I said, warning him that we were losing it.

Collin sighed angrily. "I'd go faster! BUT THIS DICKHEAD IN FRONT OF ME WON'T FÛCKING MOVE!" Collin yelled, punching his horn.

Collin zoomed around him and we slowly caught up to the car. Lukas was pulling into his road and we followed, cutting straight across traffic. I grabbed the dashboard.

I was preparing myself mentally for what I was going to say to that man. To the man who had managed to worm his way into my life.
I was silently thanking Collin was really good at driving, the amount of times we should have been in an accident was crazy.
Lukas pulled into his driveway, Collin followed.

"Ready?" Collin asked.

I snapped to attention, breaking out of my revere. Collin skidded his car to a stop just as Lukas parked his car. I scrambled to get my seatbelt undone and I pushed open the door.
"What are you doing!" Lukas snapped, climbing out of his car.

"Do you know how many times you could have died!?" He exclaimed, glaring at Collin.
I advanced towards him and he held a hand out. "Don't come any closer" he warned.

I raised my hand and slapped him, straight across the face. His head swung to the side and he grabbed his cheek in shock. He turned his head to face me again, his eyes wide. I reached forward and grabbed his head between my hands and crashed my lips against his.

I pulled away. "I hate you Lukas" I said.

Lukas's mouth twitched. "I hate you too Avery" he replied.

I turned and walked back towards Collin's car. I opened the passenger door and slid into the seat. "Thank you Collin" I said as I closed it.

I watched Lukas through the window as he stood there, rubbing his cheek. "It was nothing" Collin replied.

I turned to glance at him. "It was everything" I replied.

Collin started the car again and we drive back to school.
We went our separate ways after that and whispers seemed to follow me around for the rest of the day. I glared at another group of girls who stared at me.

Couldn't they gossip about something else. "Hey" Eloise said, moving to stand next to me.

"Hey" I replied.

The air around us felt awkward. We hadn't spoken much of late. She was busy with Connor and I was busy with...well you know what.

"Heard about Lukas and you" she said, her eyes assessing my face.

"I'm fine, he was just mad at Kaiyan" I replied.

"He hit you" she stated.

"I'm well aware of that" I replied.

"Just be careful Avery, please" she said turning her head to look at me.

"Aren't I always?" I asked, looking at her.
