Reunion, Weird Glances and Asshole Cousins
I found myself staring at the front door to Lukas's house again as I climbed out of Eloise's car. We hadn't really spoken since the fight, other than the argument we had before I left to go to Jaime's.
I had told him several times that I loved him and yet he didn't seem to believe me. I mean, not only had I given myself to him multiple times but I had told him and I had chose him over anybody else. Because I loved him. No matter how stubborn he was.
Eloise backed out of the driveway and left, knowing I was going to be here all night. But for all I knew, this could end in another argument or this could end us for good.
I walked up the marble white steps before knocking on the door. It was silent for a moment before I heard the lock turn and Lukas opened up the door. "Avery?" he asked, surprised.
"I'm sorry for the fight" I said immediately.
Lukas raised a eyebrow. "You're bringing this up because?" he asked, leaning on the door.
"Because I've been ungrateful, a player and you deserve the best.. look, I understand if you're still mad at me but truth is Lukas, I don't want a life without you" I said, remembering Jaime's sad face.
"Avery-" he started to say but I cut him off.
"Please just let me start again, I'll be better-" I said before he cut him off.
"Avery!" he exclaimed.
I shut my mouth and looked down. "There's no need for a restart or an apology, if anyone should be giving an apology it should be me" he said, opening the door wider.
I looked up at him. "Avery, you are the best thing that's ever happened to me" he said softly, stepping forward and cupping my cheeks.
I tilted my head to rest it in his hand. "I'm sure that's not true" I replied, looking up at him.
He lent down and pressed his lips to mine. I lifted up to my tippy toes to kiss him back, as his arms went around my waist, pulling me flush against him. My hands went to his soft black hair as our mouths clashed. "Get a room" I heard someone say.
"How about you get out of my house" Lukas bit back.
"Fine, I'm going to see someone anyway" he replied.
His cousin appeared at the door and looked me over. I looked away and Rick stepped out of the doorway. "Don't forget to call your father tonight" Rick said, glancing back at his cousin.
