Seriously?

I sighed and glanced at Collin before following Lukas through the crowd. I caught the door just as it was about to close. "I thought we were over this?" I asked, exasperated.

"Sorry if it's not easy for me to see a guy sing about loving my girlfriend" Lukas retorted.

"Fiancé, and it's just a song.. I don't love him" I said, stepping close to him.

"I know you don't, it's just hard okay" he replied.

"Lukas" I muttered as I faced him.

He opened his eyes and looked at me. I lent forward and kissed him, telling him how I felt about him. Telling him that I chose him over everyone. He closed his eyes and kissed back, telling me that he was just overreacting and that he was sorry.
Lukas was still freshly wounded and I got that but he didn't need to take everything to heart so easily.

Our lips parted and I gazed up at him. "I love you okay?" I asked, standing on my tippy toes to rest my forehead on his.

"I love you too" he replied.

I stepped back, rolling back on my heels and I tugged his arm. "Come on, let's go home" I said, slightly smiling.

"But Collin.." Lukas trailed off.

"Can sing to the crowd" I replied, tugging his hand again.

He followed me and my pocket buzzed, a text from Eloise.  She had texted to tell me that Collin was looking for me and in that moment I didn't care. "How about we go back to yours" he said, glancing at me.

"I'm currently living with you?" I replied confused.

That's when I realised he cracked a joke. "Oh your funny" I replied sarcastically as he laughed out loud.

Lukas unlocked his car and opened the door for me. I climbed in and closed the door as he walked around the side. He climbed in and started the car. "Wanna get some ice cream?" He asked, his pointer finger tapping the steering wheel.

"YES" I exclaimed.

He chuckled, a warm delicious sound..filling up my body. I leaned over the console, glad he hadn't started driving yet. He looked at me curiously as I leaned in. I pressed play on his steering wheel, music filling the car. I flicked my eyes to my Fiancé and watched his face shift. From curiosity to adoration.

"I love you" he said randomly.

"I love you too" I replied, finally accepting it.

He leant forward quickly and kissed me, his tongue clashing against mine as we kissed. It was one of the things I loved about him, each kiss was different but powerful..potraying all of his emotions.
I kissed back, giving him everything.

Suddenly, we weren't in the car.. we were in the field behind his house, in the treehouse, in his room.. dancing in the ballroom and he was sleeping next to me in my dorm. We were fighting and then we were kissing. We were walking away and then I was running back.
Lastly, it settled on a memory. The memory of when Lukas slid the ring on my finger.

I pulled back gently, taking a deep breath. Lukas seemes rather breathless himself. "What was that?" He asked, tilting his head.

"That was me handing you my heart" I replied.

He caressed my cheek. "Thank you" he whispered.

"I promise to take good care of it" he said, crossing his heart.

I rolled my eyes before smiling. "Okay, now lets get ice cream" I said, sliding back into my seat.

He chuckled and started driving, I watched the orange street lights fly past the window as I looked out onto the busy night street. "What do you want to do when you finish college?" I asked Lukas, turning to look at him.

He smirked. "I will be running my fathers multibillion dollar company, why?" He asked.

"Huh, I forgot your father was that rich" I replied.

"You forgot?" He asked, chuckling.

"What? I don't think about you as a money bag" I replied.

"Are you sure?" He asked, teasing.

I smackes his arm. "No well I'm glad you don't think of me like that, means putting that ring on your finger was worth it" he replied, shooting me a wink.

"Were you having doubts?" I asked, touching the ring and twisting it.

"Every man has doubts, but I knew I made the right decision when I woke up next to you" he replied.

He pulled into the nearest McDonalds drivethrough. "Sometimes you're too cheesy" I said, giving him a grin.

"Only for you babe" he replied.

He ordered us our ice cream and drove through to collect it. I handed him my credit card. He raised an eyebrow. "Let me pay for this" I said,  giving him a look.

He sighed and took my card. He paid for it and gave it back, taking the ice creams. I took mine instantly. "God, I have been craving you" I said, greedily.

Lukas rolled his eyes as I ate my ice cream. He parked at the front of a park and I took my seatbelt off. "Where are you going?" He asked, immediately.

"Catch me if you can" I said, opening the door and getting out.

I closed it with a snap before taking off into the night. "Avery!" Lukas exclaimed.

I ran for the swings and I barely made it before Lukas's arm circle my waist, sending me crashing into his chest. I giggled and kissed him right there under the moonlight. He kissed me back, our hearts giving a collective sigh. Our ice cream was melting but we didn't care as we made out in the park, the only light coming from the moon.

I knew right then and there. I was going to be with this man till the death of me. And I was going to vow that to him.
In front of my mother who thought I couldn't get a man, in front of my Aunt who believed you should put work first, in front of my friend who I've loved for years.

"I love you" I whispered.

"You better, future wife" he whispered back.
