Hangovers and school fights
"How is she?" I asked, walking into Jamie's hospital room.
Hunter looked up from his phone, uncrossing his legs. "She's okay, the baby's okay, the Doctor wasn't quite sure what happened" he said.
I sighed, relieved. "I thought I'd drop in before school" I said, sitting next to Hunter.
Jamie's head was turned away from us, sleeping. "How was that party last night?" Hunter asked.
"It's a festival and Eloise dragged me to it but I had a great time, I danced with this hot stranger" I replied.
Hunter laughed. "Don't you think you have enough boy trouble?" he asked, referring to Kaiyan and Lukas.
I shrugged. "It was nice to be desired for a night" I replied.
"Go to school" he said, pushing my shoulder.
I nodded and stood up. "Text me immediately when she wakes up" I said, shouldering my school bag again.
"I will" he replied.
"See you later" I said, before walking out of the room.
I climbed into my car moments later, turning on the radio. My phone buzzed and I looked at it.
Lukas:
Hope you enjoyed the festival last night
I frowned at the message, thinking back to see if I ran into him or something. Than I remembered the guy I had danced with. Short black hair, silver mask, a build that looked exactly like Lukas. I cursed. Of course, how could I be so stupid.
I started the car and practically sped to school. I parked the car, climbing out and looking for the familiar black Lamborghini. It wasn't here yet. "Gosh, I drank so much last night" a tired voice said from behind me.
I turned around to see Eloise stumble towards me. "Where were you last night? You didn't come home" I said, knowing exactly where she had been.
In Conner's bed.
She blushed. "I knew it, is he good?" I asked.
She didn't get the chance to reply before the blonde headed Conner himself, sidled up behind her. "Hey Avery" he said.
I smiled. "Hey" I replied, looking back at Eloise.
"I was uh wondering if I could have your blessing of taking this beautiful woman out on a date tonight" he said, placing an arm around her shoulders.
Eloise was blushing like crazy. "Sure, only if you bring me cookies afterwards" I replied.
"It's a deal" Conner said before kissing Eloise forehead and muttering something to her.
