Felicity's POV
Harry soared out of sight, becoming just a speck and the dragon that followed him a bird. Hermione was squeezing my hand with a death grip, eyes wide as she searched the horizon for Harry. "Come on, Harry," I whispered, "Come on."
Next to me, Seamus took hold of my other hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. And though I think it meant something else to him than it did to me, I didn't pull away, nor did I notice Draco's fuming glare.
A faint roar sounded and Mione inhaled sharply.
After a few moments of silence- There. Everyone spotted him at the same time I did. "Yes!" Hermione screamed, "Yes!"
Harry swooped down in one smooth movement and plucked the golden egg out of the nest.

As I predicted, there was much celebrating going on in the Common Room. The revelry began at 11 p.m. after the Champions were checked for wounds and the lights in the rest of the castle went out. Even the portraits were sleeping as Fred and George brought out the Firewhiskey and all the Gryffindors from fourth year and up crowded in the room. The twins lifted Harry up on their shoulders.
"Knew you wouldn't die," George said, "Lose a leg-" "-or an arm," Fred added. "Pack it in all together?" George asked. Him and Fred chorused, "Never!" The golden egg was passed around before Seamus took it in his hands. "Go on, Harry," he said, handing it up to Harry, still on the twins' shoulders, "What's the clue?"
"Who wants me to open it?" Harry asked. We all cheered back, "Yes!" "Do you want me to open it?" he asked again, grinning. He hadn't smiled like that in a while, so I held back my eye roll and screamed with everyone else, "Yes!"
Harry opened the egg, and the most god-awful screeching noise I'd ever heard emitted from it. The twins dropped Harry and covered their ears, like everyone else in the room. Harry finally managed to get the thing shut as a voice inquired from the doorway, "What the bloody hell was that?"
Students stared at Ron, as if he wasn't allowed in the Common Room while him and Harry were fighting, which everyone knew about. "Alright, everyone!" Fred announced, "Go back to your knitting. This is gonna be uncomfortable enough without all you nosy sods listening in."
I held back my laughter and sat close enough with Hermione to where Ron was approaching Harry to eavesdrop.
"I reckon you'd have to be barking mad to put your own name in the Goblet of Fire," Ron said as way of greeting. "Caught on, have you?" Harry said sourly, "Took you long enough." Ron scratched the back of his neck. "I wasn't the only one who thought you'd done it," he said, as if that helped, "Everyone was saying it behind your back." I cringed.
Harry gave him an incredulous look. "Brilliant," he stated, "That makes me feel loads better." Ron looked down, saying, "Least I warned you about the dragons." Harry looked confused. "Hagrid warned me about the dragons," he said. Ron's head snapped up. "No, no, no, I did," he said, "Don't you remember? I told Hermione to tell you that Seamus told me that Parvati told Dean that Hagrid was looking for you. Seamus never actually told me anything, so it was really me all along. I thought we'd be alright, you know... after you'd figured that out."
"Who-?" Harry stammered, "Who could possibly figure that out? That's completely mental." Ron chuckled. "Yeah. I suppose I was a bit distraught," he muttered. But they offered each other friendly smiles and half the tension in my stomach eased. "Boys," Hermione sighed, tears in her eyes. I glanced at the nearest clock and my heart leaped to my throat. 11:45.
I immediately excused myself, muttering some lie about going to the kitchens to get food to Hermione. I tried to calm my beating heart as I approached the Astronomy Tower. I ascended the steps, my hands fidgeting. He was already up there.
