Felicity's POV
It had been a long summer. We had families over practically every other night, people my grandmother said would be 'strong alliances' in the upcoming war. There were some pros and cons to the situation; on one hand, I made many more friends, classmates that I didn't even know I went to school with for over half the year. On the other, the politics talk and fancy clothes were stifling. At least once a week, we'd meet with the family of Head of the Department of Law Enforcement, or Head of the Auror office, or the head of something that I couldn't care less about for a formal discussion on the threats yet to come. It was truly awful.
I did, however, get to see the Weasley's quite often, which was always fun. We'd excuse ourselves from dinner and adult talk to test out some of the twins' prank candy, or race around on our brooms. I've become close friends with Alana Carter and Cedric Diggory, shockingly enough. The two were best friends, and their families often came over together. They were definitely my favorite pair of Hufflepuff's.
I sighed in relief as Hermione finally walked through the door of the Burrow. "About time," I smiled, engulfing her in a hug. I hadn't gotten to see Mione as often as I'd have liked over the summer, but we owled every day. She grinned in response. "Are the boys still asleep?" she asked, although I could tell she already knew the answer. Molly replied for me. "Oh, yes, sweetie," she nodded, her ever-present smile on her lips, "Could you two go wake them up for me? Tell them breakfast is ready."
I flashed Molly a thumbs up and stood from where I'd been waiting for Mione at the kitchen table. We were going to the Quidditch World Cup today, so how in hell could Harry and Ron still be sleeping? I'd been talking about this for weeks. Gran had almost used a silencing charm, she'd been so annoyed. Neville was coming, too, but he was staying with the Finnigan's.
We walked up the stairs to Ron's room and opened the door to reveal Harry thrashing in his bed and Ron snoring and drooling. Hermione instantly rushed to Harry's side, shaking him awake. "Harry? Harry!" she whisper-shouted. He shot up in the bed and squinted at her before sliding on his glasses. "Hermione," he stated, running a hand through his hair, "Just a bad dream."
"Well, rise and shine, Sleeping Beauty," I quipped from the doorway, "We've got a game to watch."

"Hey, Ron," Harry asked after several minutes of silent walking, "Where are we actually going?" Ron shook his head. "Don't know," the redhead replied, still trying to wake up. "Hey, Dad!" he shouted ahead to the front of our group, Where are we going?"
"Haven't the foggiest!" Mr. Weasley yelled back, beaming cheerily, "But keep up!" I smiled at his enthusiasm before a familiar voice drifted through the trees.
"Arthur!" Amos Diggory called out, "It's about time, son!" Arthur shot a look towards Ron and Harry, who were still yawning. "Sorry, Amos," he apologized, "Some of us had a bit of a sleepy start."
We all stopped walking as the Head Weasley introduced us. "This is Amos Diggory, everyone. Works with me at the Ministry," he informed us.
Suddenly, a boy dropped from thin air right next to Amos, cheeks flushed and a backpack slung over one shoulder. "And this strapping young lad must be Cedric, am I right?" Arthur questioned. "Yes, sir," Ced replied politely. Hermione and Ginny exchanged a glance before they both looked away, smiling.
"Hey, Felicity," Cedric greeted with a twinkle in his eyes. He joined Mr. Weasley in leading us to the top of the hill where the Portkey rested as Hermione and Ginny turned to me, jaws dropped. "Well," Mione eventually said with a smirk, "that matter certainly wasn't addressed in your daily letters." I shushed her and looked around to make sure no one had overheard. "He's 3 years older and two years above me, guys," I murmured, "It's not gonna happen."
