little bit of an author's note bc i haven't updated for like a month (which will be explained in the second author's note at the end of this chapter); just in case you guys forgot what happened in the last couple chapter, harry and fel have been fighting over draco's true intentions and his role in the upcoming war and she lowkey hates him right now because of the whole sectumsempra thing. fel and draco are on good terms, but they both know that the other is hiding something but they're kinda ignoring it because idk they're in love. harry just drank the felix felicis potion and fel snuck up to his dorm and stole the invisibility cloak to visit draco (bc nobody's supposed to know that they're still together) and yeah i think that's about it, so happy reading, double-update ahead;)
Felicity's POV
Harry returned shortly after, and told us everything. Dumbledore's trips, Voldemort's Horcruxes, Slughorn's memory, everything. And he didn't make eye contact with me once while telling us.
Fine. Suits me. I'd rather not talk to him anyway.
So the next day, with the Invisibility Cloak slung over me, I made my way to the Hospital Wing, brushing past professors and students alike. I slipped by Madame Pomfrey before locating Draco's bed, which wasn't hard, because he was the only one in the vast room.
I sat by his side and waited until Pomfrey closed the door to her office before taking the cloak off. "Draco," I whispered, "Draco, I'm here." He stirred slightly before his breathtaking eyes fluttered open. They widened as he noticed me and tried to sit up. He fell back on the bed, groaning in pain, before whispering, "Felicity, what are you doing here?"
"I had to see you," I murmured, tears blurring my vision, "I had to make sure you're okay." Draco laughed a little, the sound rasping out of his throat. "You can't get rid of me that easily," he replied, "And I should be fine in a couple hours anyway."
The smile faded off of his face a little and he looked almost nauseous. "What? What is it?" I asked, alarmed. "Nothing," he assured me quickly, "Just remembered an assignment I have due tonight." My brow furrowed in confusion.
"What assignment? We don't-"
My question was cut off by Madame Pomfrey's door opening. I cursed under my breath before throwing the Invisibility Cloak over myself. Draco's head whirled from he'd been staring at the door to where I was supposed to be standing.
"Felicity?"
"I'll see you tonight," I said almost inaudibly. He began protesting. "No, don't-" But I was already tiptoeing away.
I made it all the way back to the Common Room and up to the girl's dormitory before stashing the cloak in my pillowcase. Taking a deep breath, I settled down on my bed and began my notes just as Hermione walked in. "There you are," she said, "Where have you been? Have you seen Harry?"
I grimaced at the sound of his name. "I've been around and about but thankfully, I've seen none of Harry. He's probably still out on his magic mission with Dumbledore." Mione looked around the room, before flicking me, hard. "Hey!" I complained, "What was that for?"
"First off, we're not even supposed to know about that mission, so stop announcing it to anyone who could be listening." I didn't point out that no one was around and let her finish her rant. "And secondly, Harry is your best friend. Do you really want to lose him because of a boy?"
I just shook my head. "I'll forgive him eventually, Mione." She just scoffed. "Not soon enough." I rolled my eyes as she left and got back to my homework.
~*~
I skipped out on dinner, not in the mood for Harry going on about his adventure with Dumbledore, and Mione and Ginny hanging onto his every word. I decided, as people started trickling back into the Common Room for the night, that I would go and visit Draco again, as promised.
