Felicity's POV

September 1st, 10:15 a.m.

"Felicity! Neville! Wake up! The train leaves in forty-five minutes!" Gran shouted. I shot up instantly, cringing at her loud voice. "Bloody hell, Gran! Why didn't you wake us up earlier? Neville, get your arse up!" I yelled through the thin walls of our house.

I ran to my bathroom, taking a quick shower and brushing my teeth, letting my hair fall in its natural waves. I put on a casual grey shirt and a pair of blue jeans with some boots, packed my spell books, and ran downstairs. I looked at the clock on the wall.

10:49

"Gran! Nev! We have to get to Kings Cross! We're gonna be late!" I shouted impatiently. Gran rushed in, wearing her normal bird hat and green dress. Neville ran in a minute later with his shirt on backwards.

"Ready, I'm ready," he said, out of breath. "Where's your stuff?" I asked. His eyes widened and he ran back upstairs, returning a minute later with his toad and bags. I rolled my eyes, not able to help the smile on my face, and walked towards the furnace before grabbing a handful of Floo powder and stepping into the fireplace.

"Kings Cross Station!" I yelled, throwing down the powder.

Kings Cross quickly appeared in front of me. I tapped my foot anxiously until Neville and Gran finally transported. "Finally," I cried, "We have to get to Platform 9 3/4! The train will be leaving any minute!" Gran muttered a few things under her breath before leading us to the column between 9 and 10.

"Run through it," she instructed sternly. "I absolutely hate this part," I grumbled. Nonetheless, I followed her order and ran straight through the pillar. I couldn't help the gasp that always escaped me at the sight of the magnificent train in front of me.

The train that was about to leave.

"Oh, blimey," I muttered. I looked over the sea of heads, trying to find Neville. I finally spot Gran's green dress and Neville's mop of brown hair by the train's entrance. I jogged over quickly, pushing my way through people, saying a quick 'excuse me' every now and then. I finally reached them, panting a little. Gran quickly gave us both a kiss on the cheek before shoving us on to the train.

"Go, go! Have fun! Don't get into trouble, Felicity! Don't fall too much, Neville!" Gran yelled over the buzz of other parents and relatives saying goodbye to their kids. I laughed, waving at her as the train began to move. Soon she, and the station, were out of sight.

"I'm gonna go find a compartment before they're all full. Are you coming?" Neville asked. "Nah, I'll find one, thanks. Don't forget to change into your robes," I reminded him, walking the opposite way of my twin. He shrugged and wandered off in the other direction. I cruised through the rows of compartments, finding all of them full of people except for one.

In very last one, there was a boy who looked to be about my age, with floppy hair, glasses, and shockingly green eyes. I took a deep breath before knocking on the door gently and popping my head in.

"May I sit here? The others are mostly full," I explained. He nodded eagerly. "Sure!" I smiled and set my bags down, taking Marvin out of his cage. He flew around before landing on my shoulder. I giggled at him before turning my attention back to the boy.

"I'm Felicity Longbottom," I greeted. He grinned. "I'm Harry. Harry Potter," he responded formally. My eyes widened. "Harry Potter! You're the one who defeated You-Know-Who!" I said, shocked. He nodded and was about to say something before a voice interrupted. "Mind if I sit with you guys?"
