Epilogue

*10 years later* 3rd person

Today marks the 10 year anniversary since Emma passed away, everyone continued to miss her each and every day. Let's take a look into everyone's current lives shall we?

Phil is now married to a lovely woman named Jade with a daughter named Emma. Ever since his best friends passing, he has tried his best to make the most of his life and think on the bright side. Every weekend, he visits her and tells her all about his week and tells her how much he wants her back and how much he misses her. He wishes everyday that he could have been there just a few moments sooner, for a while he blamed himself. He was extremely depressed and was filled with grief, but he realized Emma wouldn't have wanted that. She would have wanted him to move on, and find someone that cared for him as much as she did. To this day he keeps the pictures of them in his wallet and on his bedside table. 

Alison is also married to a wonderful man named Ethan. Her and Phil have remained friends even through all the harsh times they've had together. Like Phil, Alison routinely visits her grave to inform her on all the gossip she's missed out on. Recently, she gave her a very interesting piece of information. She's pregnant! She prays that Emma is looking down on her and that's she's proud of what she's become. After Emma's passing, she wanted to do what Emma wanted for her. She became a pediatrician. Commonly, she'll find herself at the door of Emma's old house, that now lays empty as her parents moved out shortly after her death. She's never taken the necklace she took off and cherishes it as if it's =as delicate as glass. 

Joe hasn't exactly handled the death well, has never found another love. He visits her nearly every chance he has, he hopes that she see's him, and that he'll see her again. He just recently made peace and finally coped. Zoe,Caspar, Jack, Finn, Oli, and Alfie have stayed by his side and supported him the entire time. He keeps the photos the took together in a collage. Each day, he misses her more. All he wants is to see her one last time but he does know she's watching and that she'll always be with him, through everything.Once he finally made peace, he realized Emma would have wanted him to be happy and appreciate life. 

Gabriel reads through the old notepad every night. He writes her letters every chance he has and keeps them in her old jewelry box, hoping she can read them from wherever she is. He now has a girlfriend called Kayce who he loves dearly and she's been there for him and has supported him through all the pain.

Dally on the other hand, passed away as well. He robbed a store back in Tulsa after Emma's death and a death of his other very close friend. After he robbed the store, he ran and pointed an unloaded gun in the direction of police and ended up getting killed. He couldn't handle the pain.

*Reunion*

 Everyone gathered at Alison's house for the 10 year anniversary of their friends death. Phil, Gabriel, PJ, Chris, Joe, Zoe, Caspar, Alfie, and Oli came around. "10 years" Alison sighed standing in the middle, her husband stood by her side. Phil looked down at Jade and half smiled, Emma looked up at her father and hugged his legs sportively. They all took their turns speaking about their lives and how much they missed her. For hours they laughed, and cried. All in remembrance of her. They could all feel that she was there, and that she missed them just as much as they missed her. They wanted her back, but they knew she was happier. In the middle they heard a knock at the door.

  Alison went to answer. She opened the door and there stood Dan. "Hi" she said simply, knowing Emma wouldn't want her to be violent. "Hey, it- it's been 10 years and to this day what I did still haunts me every night. I truly am incredibly sorry for your loss. I was young, and ignorant. I can't put into words how much I regret everything I did. Looking back, I was so cruel and I don't know how I could have done that. I can't say sorry enough and I know an apology is nothing but you deserve to know how awful I do feel" he said, he was frail and extremely pale. "Thank you Dan, come in if you'd like" she said allowing him to come in. "Thank you, but I do have to go, please tell the others what I've said. Have a nice life" he half smiled. 

 She saw the pain and tears building in his eyes. Before he could leave she stepped out and hugged him. "We all forgive you, and I'm sure she does too" she cooed. He hugged back. "Thank you Alison" he said as salty tears ran down his face. She let go. "Bye Dan" she said as they both walked away. 

Finally, everyone was at peace.
