Matt and I have been trying for a few weeks now. It didn't matter if we were at home or at work. We made it work. I took ovulation tests and when it was a go we just went for it. Some people might take a step back, but we were just optimistic about it all. We knew we had to give it our 110% best shot. We didn't really tell anyone that we were trying. They know we want kids, but they just don't really know when.
Matt and I were just talking in his office. Severide knocked " hey.. sorry not trying to interrupt anything..." I laughed " oh no your good... I'll see you later husband!" He kissed me " ok wife!" Severide looked at us oddly " husband... wife!" Matt laughed " it's this thing gabby keeps doing..." He laughed " hey um you know when you said we could get out of Chicago.. out of town and just recharge...?" Matt nodded " yeah.." He looked at Matt " well what about we do that... for a weekend.." Matt looked at him " I have time accumulated..." Severide nodded " me too..." Matt looked at him " where are we going...?" Severide looked at me " up north a little bit just 2 hours away... the fishing is great a nice lake house... just a few days..." Matt nodded " I'm in... set it up!" Severide nodded " I'm already on it..."
