Matt's POV
The weekend has started! We drove to the lake house. It was just a few hours away. It's been too long since I've really had a bros trip. I haven't really gone away for anything that wasn't somewhat work related. It's always all about work. It was nice to get away. It's not like Severide and I get to have our own bro time outside of work and away from everyone else.
It was a nice place. A few hours away from everything. It was quiet, but not silent. You could hear birds chirping and the sound of water flowing nearby. The lake house was actually nice. We had two small bedrooms, one small bathroom, and then just some open space. It was nicer than we expected. Apparently these people rent off this place all the time. It's the quiet place to escape.
I looked around " well this is nice..." Severide nodded " Yeah it is." I looked outside " want to go outside...." Severide followed " yeah let's take a look around..."
and the weekend continued...
