I saw Brendon standing at his locker with Dallon, and I approached him since he never called me back the night before after Josh had left and he ignored my calls when I tried to call him. I didn't know what was going on with him, but I intended to find out.
"Hey," I said, putting my hand against his back and he glanced over his shoulder before turning back around to his locker. "Brendon."
He sighed and turned around to face me.
"What's going on?" I asked. "You never called me back last night."
"Nothing, I was just tired," he replied. "I went to bed." I raised my eyebrow at him, knowing it was bullshit, but he still didn't try to say anything back to me to tell me why he was actually upset.
"Okay, well do you want to do something after school?" I asked.
"I'm busy," he said, turning back to his locker. I frowned.
"He's just coming over to play music at my house," Dallon piped up, smiling at me. "You're welcome to join, if you'd like."
Brendon suddenly slammed his locker shut, looking at Dallon before storming off without another word. I looked back at Dallon, who sighed and rolled his eyes.
"You wanna know what's wrong with him?" he asked, and I nodded. "He's being petty because he's looking for attention from you and not getting it."
"Seriously?" I said, finding myself annoyed with him. "I literally just asked him if he wanted to do something after school."
Dallon shrugged, giving me a sympathetic look before he pat my shoulder and walked away. I huffed and began walking to my first period class, trying not to think about how Brendon was still being a whiny little bitch about everything.

I actually ended up ignoring Brendon all day because I was still annoyed with him at lunch, so I sat by myself at lunch, and after school I didn't bother stopping by his locker like I usually did before I headed to Dallon's house to hang out with him and Josh, not Brendon.
When I pulled into his driveway, I noticed there was a car there that I didn't recognize. I knew Josh didn't have one yet and he rode with Dallon anyways, so I wondered who it might be. I went in with Dallon and Josh, who had also just arrived and walked in with them as they talked about the music they were considering playing, and we walked right down to the basement, where Dallon's room was, and I noticed a girl with dark hair sitting on his bed smoking from a pipe, blowing the smoke out and smiling at Dallon as he walked down the stairs.
"Daldo, my favorite cousin!" She yelled, and Dallon rolled his eyes.
"Robin, how many times do I have to tell you to warn me before you just show up at my house and start smoking in my room?" he asked.
"Hey, this is my weed that I'm smoking and I also replaced the weed that I smoked the last time I showed up unexpectedly," she said, swinging her legs off his bed and walking over to us. "Who's this?" She pointed at me, smirking slightly.
