"Charlie, come on wake up," I opened my eyes to see Brendon sitting in front of me, a small smile on his face.
"What time is it?" I asked, turning to look at my clock.
"It's 9:30," he replied. "You've been out for a while though."
I sighed and fell back against my pillows, my body still relaxed from the deep slumber I was in. "I think that's the best sleep I've gotten in a long time. Do you think it was from the weed or something else?" I smirked at him and he blushed.
"I made you breakfast," he said, ignoring my comment and held out a plate and cup of orange juice.
"You actually were able to make something and not burn my house down?" I teased, reaching out and taking the plate that had pancakes and bacon on it, already cut up with the small amount of syrup drizzled over the top. Why was he being so nice?
"Well it's good to know that the normal Charlie is back," he rolled his eyes.
"What do you mean?" I asked, taking a bite of the pancakes.
"Last night if I'd cooked food for you I imagine you probably would have thanked me about a million times and then tried to drag me to bed without even eating it," he replied. "You definitely would not have given me your usual sarcastic response like you did just a minute ago."
"Thank you," I said. "And we can have sex before you leave if you want."
"That's not what I was getting at." His face flushed again and I laughed, offering him a bite of my pancakes. He ate it and sat down beside me on my bed.
"What, do you not want Jason to pound on the wall while he's taking a shit again?" I asked.
"It was awkward!" he covered his face. "I saw him in the kitchen afterwards and he was staring me down in my underwear."
"Oh lighten up, Brendon," I said. "He's not going to do anything. He probably thought it was funny."
"Yeah whatever," he grumbled, rolling over on my bed to pout. I set my plate aside and laid behind him and wrapped my arms around his body, hugging him close to me.
"Come on, don't be a little grouchy pants first thing in the morning. That's my job." I kissed his shoulder and he relaxed against my hold on his body, taking my hands into his and holding them against his chest.
"I might take you up on that offer to have sex before I go home though," he mumbled after a moment.

Going back to school on Monday was annoying but I was glad that Brendon was practically hanging over me again, constantly holding my hand or having his arm around my shoulders the entire day. I hated thinking that we were one of those couples but at the same time I didn't care because I enjoyed the affection.
During one of the few moments that I was at my locker by myself without Brendon around, Rachel actually walked up and spoke to me.
"Hey, I cancelled my plans with the guy who asked me to homecoming," she said.
"Oh good, was he really upset?" I asked.
"I mean, he wasn't happy but he didn't seem too bent out of shape," she shrugged. "I was just wondering if you wanted to do something for our usual anti-homecoming tradition, since we didn't do anything together last year."
"Well," I sighed and shut my locker. "I'm going to Dallon's house because he's throwing a small party and Brendon and Josh are both going."
"Oh," she frowned.
