Brendon picked me up from my house before we headed to Dallon's party on Saturday, probably around an hour or so before the stupid dance would actually start so luckily I'd miss all of the bullshit on social media. When we got out, I noticed that Robin and Kenny's cars were both there and we went inside together, low music was coming from the basement. I walked down with Brendon and saw that Robin was there, along with Josh, Kenny and Dan and some other girl I didn't recognize.
"The cringe couple have arrived!" Dallon yelled as we walked in.
"Hey." I crossed my arms and he laughed, pulling both of us into a hug, talking about how he was just kidding and that everyone loved us.
I managed to get myself out of Dallon's stoned embrace (it was obvious that he'd already smoked before we showed up, probably with Robin) and Robin greeted me with a hug, introducing me to the girl that was standing next to her and Kenny.
"Charlie, this is Danielle," she said, and I shook her hand as she smiled at me.
"It's nice to meet you," I replied, seeing something weird out of the corner of my eye, and turning to see that already Brendon had jumped on Dallon's back and they were running up the stairs. I rolled my eyes, not knowing what they were off to do but figured they'd be back soon enough anyways.
"That's my boyfriend Brendon, the small one that just jumped on the giraffe's back," I explained, and she nodded.
"He seems a little crazy," she laughed.
"That's why him and Dallon get along so well."
"You're right," Robin said, hitting my arm and throwing her own arm around my shoulder. "Should we go see what those troublemakers are up to?"
Robin steered me up the stairs with her and we entered Dallon's kitchen to see that he was raiding the fridge while Brendon sat on the counter eating Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch right out of the box.
"What are you guys doing?" she asked.
"Go away, Robin, I had the munchies!" Dallon said behind the door of the fridge, standing to see that I was with her as well. "Oh hello Charlie."
"Hello Dallon," I replied, looking between him and Brendon. "Didn't you bring snacks, B?"
"Yeah but I didn't bring Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch," he said, stuffing another handful into his mouth.
Before anyone could reply, the doorbell rang and Robin yelled, "I'll get it!" and walked towards the front door, opening it up and I saw that Rachel was standing outside.
"Hello?" Robin said, confused.
"That's Rachel, she's fine," I said, smiling at her and she smiled back between the two of us.
"Well it's nice to meet you Rachel, my name is Robin," she said, sticking her hand out to shake it and letting her in. "We were just scolding Brendon and Dallon for raiding the kitchen even though Brendon brought snacks, but the actual party is downstairs."
Rachel approached the kitchen, saying hello to Brendon and Dallon, who both waved and said hello back to her, informing all of us that we were going back downstairs, Brendon still holding his box of cereal and Dallon walking out with a jar of mini pickles, one already in his mouth.
Before long, Tyler finally showed up and brought his girlfriend Jenna along with him, a girl with pink hair that I'd seen around in the hallways at school every now and then. Everyone was just doing their own thing chatting with each other for a little while, Brendon had put down the box of cereal finally and opted to try and drag me into the bathroom to make out for a little bit but I pushed him off, reminding him that it wasn't my house and we hadn't even been there for an hour yet.
