I woke up and groaned, hearing Pansy do the same. My head was pounding against my skull and my stomach was twisting painfully.
"Pansy," I groaned, my mouth feeling painfully dry.
"Shush," she begged and I sat up, blinking against the blinding light.
"My dad's going to kill me," I said, and Alex walked in the room.
"I was sent to wake you up...never mind," he mumbled and then turned on his heel and walked out.
"I guess we should head downstairs," I suggested, and Pansy glared up at me.
"You look terrible," was all she said. I looked at my reflection and saw that I was pale and my eyes had dark circles under them. My hair was matted and slightly dull looking, and I was slightly flushed, which looked alarmingly red against my clammy pale skin. My actual eye color was a muted grey and I just shook my head.
"C'mon get up," I kicked Pansy. She grumbled her protest, but begrudgingly followed me downstairs. Pansy looked like she was going to be sick.
"We need showers," I muttered and she nodded. I heard someone drop something in the kitchen, and Pansy and I cringed, rubbing our temples. I came into the living room where father and mom were.
"Good morning!" Mom yelled and I clamped my hands over my ears.
"Ugh," I cried and Pansy moaned.
"What's wrong?" she asked loudly and I gave a soft whimper. So this is my punishment?
"Be quiet," I moaned.
"Time for breakfast!" mom grinned, ignoring Pansy's and my groans of pain.
Father brought us into the kitchen and mom started clanging around the pans and pots, dropping silverware, talking loudly, and making the smell of oatmeal and cinnamon rolls waft around us. The smell of food at the moment made me sick to my stomach, not to mention the noise making my head pound more than a jack hammer.
Pansy shot up from her chair and ran to the bathroom where I heard her hurling. I clutched my stomach and put my head on the table.
"Knock it off!" Draco yelled, walking into the kitchen, only to clutch his head. Blaise walked in after and Pansy came back to sit down.
"I think I'm gonna hurl," I groaned, peeking up at Draco.
"I already did," he muttered, putting his head in his hands.
"Leah Riddle I cannot believe you were so irresponsible," Father fixed me with a look.
"You too Ms. Pansy," Mom snapped, glaring at Pansy.
"Draco, your foolishness is also unappreciated," Lucius said, walking in.
"Merlin," I said, shooting up, clutching my stomach. I ran into the bathroom and threw up, holding my hair out of my face. When I was done, I rested my head on the wall and then gasped just as I realized I was going to hurl again. I quickly tied my hair back after the second wave and moaned. I heard the door open and was about to look over as a third wave hit me, and I felt cool hands holding my forehead.
When I was done, I leaned back into the person and then stood up, flushing the toilet and brushing my teeth. I turned around and saw Draco leaning against the wall looking perfectly fine.
"You look fine," I snapped, and then closed my eyes as I my head throbbed.
"Mother snuck me a potion," he smiled. I frowned and opened my eyes.
"Thank you for helping me, even though that was incredibly embarrassing," I said and he laughed.
"You are welcome," he said with a smirk, and we walked out of the bathroom where Narcissa slipped a potion into my hand. I downed it and instantly felt 100% better. I walked back into the kitchen where Pansy was almost dead and Blaise was asleep with his head on the table.
"You two look much better," Father observed and I smiled.
"Oh yes I feel better, too!" I said brightly. Father glared and shook his head.
"Why is my revenge on you always short lived?" he asked.
"You're not trying hard enough."
"Leah Riddle, your grounded," he said, and then turned to leave.
"What?" I gaped and Draco started snickering. Father put down a potion for Pansy and Blaise before turning back to me.
"Yes, which means no friends, no boyfriends, no contact to the outside world, and no leaving your room until it's time to go to Hogwarts. Up to your room now," he said and I sat there in shock. Draco had to leave the room because he was trying not to laugh too hard.
"Go," Father ordered and I got up in a daze and stormed up to my room. This is going to be a long two months.
