Chapter 29

"Where did we leave off?" I asked after everyone was there.

 "People in our year," Granger said, and I nodded.

 "Okay so Hufflepuff's?" I asked and Hannah looked at Hydra before answering.

 "Susan Bones," she said.

 "We want Cho Chang," Padma said and I nodded.

 "Oh, we're so undecided...I think we'll have to go with Seamus Finnegan," Granger bit her lip.

 "Why not Harry?" Weasley asked and Granger gave him a suffering look.

 "Ronald, Harry hates parties," Granger reminded him.

 "Whatever, who do the Slytherin's want?" Weasley asked.

 "Pansy," we said together and I smiled.

 "Let's round up the troops and have them help us out with the song list and everything. Go get your people and we'll meet back here," I said, and everyone went in opposite directions. Draco and I walked down to the common room and I pulled out my list.

 "Excuse me, but I need Amortentia Black, Malcolm Baddock, Ritchie Coote, Demelza Robins, and Pansy Parkinson to come with me," I said and everyone looked around. Pansy walked over to us, as did Amortentia and Demelza, but the others weren't there.

 "Malcolm is in his dorm, I'll get him," Crabbe said and Goyle followed.

 "Ritchie is in detention with Flitwick," Blaise said and I glared.

 "Looks like we are taking a trip to Flitwick's room," I muttered as Malcolm walked over to us.

 "Well, come along then. The reason you are all here is because you have been chosen to help organize this year's Halloween party," I said, and excited murmurs filled the group.

 "You will listen to either Draco and I, or any other prefect who asks you to do something. Do not fight with the other houses because this party is for all years and all houses. You will behave yourselves or be kicked off the committee, is that understood?" I asked and they all chorused, 'yes'.

 "Brilliant," I smiled at Draco as we reached Flitwick's. I knocked on the door and waited.

 "Come in!" he squeaked and I held up my hand to the group, Draco and I walking in.

 "Pardon me professor, but could we borrow Ritchie? It's for a prefect committee meeting; I'm sure Professor McGonagall mentioned the party we'd be planning for Halloween," I said sweetly.

 "Oh of course dear, he was just finishing," he smiled cheerily and I smiled back.

 "Thank you," I said, and Ritchie followed me out.

 "You picked me for the committee?" he asked excitedly.

 "Indeed," I nodded.

 "Wow, thanks!" he said and I ignored him, taking the group up to McGonagall's. The Gryffindor's were already there and the Ravenclaw's came very soon after we did. The Hufflepuff's were last to show up.

 "Just to double check and make sure, I'll run through the list. If your name is not called, leave. If someone's name is called and they are not here, I want someone to go and get them. Okay, Amortentia, Euan, Sarah, Rose, Dennis, Owen, Orla, Malcolm, Lisa, Terrance, Adrian, Ritchie, Ginny, Luna, Romilda, Demelza, Susan, Cho, Seamus, and Pansy," I said, and in turn they raised their hands.
