We landed upstairs, why I don't know, but I let go of Alex's hand and pushed him into a room, which happened to be the room I stayed in over Christmas.
"Why were you in a muggle 'gang'?" I hissed and he sighed.
"I was assigned to protect you," he admitted.
"Protect me?" I asked in surprise.
"Yes, Ms. Riddle," he said sarcastically.
"I do not need to be protected!" I protested.
"You couldn't take on Auror's alone. We could together, but not just you," he frowned. I jabbed my finger into his chest.
"You listen to me right now. I do not need anyone to protect me," I said.
"Keep telling yourself that," he smirked and I rolled my eyes. I went to advance on him so I could hit him, but he grabbed my hand and pulled me forward so I fell into him. As soon as this happened, I looked up with a glare, our eyes met, and then the door flung open. Barty stopped and looked highly amused as I pushed Alex back, scowling at him.
"You know, you're supposed to be downstairs," he snickered.
"Shut up, who assigned your son to follow me?" I snapped, and he just shrugged with a smile. Finally I smiled back and walked up to Barty, hugging him.
"You're out of Azkaban... Bella must be here," I frowned. Barty nodded and pulled back.
"Yeah, she is, how did you know?" he said. I just shrugged and ignored him.
"Well Leah darling, let's go downstairs," Alex said cheerfully and I glared at him.
"Stop talking to me," I snapped as we hurriedly walked downstairs.
"Oh, baby come back!" he laughed, following me.
"What's going on?" Draco asked in confusion and I whirled around to see him leaning against the wall.
"Alex is an idiot," I snapped and Draco raised his eyebrows.
"What did you do, Crouch?" he asked angrily.
"See what you did, Leah?" Barty laughed and I faced all of them angrily.
"All of you shut up, and leave me alone! I don't need either of you to protect me and I don't need your smart ass comments!" I raged, my eyes a burning red. I never knew I was so angry all summer until it boiled over. This was the first time my father called me, and I find out someone's been sent to stalk me!
They all stared at me in shock and I burst into the dining room; everyone falling silent. I glared at all the shocked faces, and Alex and Barty meekly slipped in behind me, avoiding my gaze at all costs. Father was at the head of the table, watching curiously and I saw a woman at the head of the table next to him. What the fuck that's my spot. Severus was on one side, fair enough, but this woman? Fuck that. I walked over angrily and stood with my hands on my hips.
