"You do?" he said, his voice a bit strained.
"You must explain now," I said firmly.
"There isn't much to say. I had a little too much fun, and that was that," he said calmly.
"Sirius, I know that Clementine was Amortentia's mother. That wasn't just a bit of fun seeing as she was married," I said.
Sirius sighed and folded his hands, "Clementine was always a girl that I had fancied throughout school. We became friends but when she met Lamoure, I knew that was all we could ever be. However, she came to me after adopting you and I knew something was wrong. She was crying... said she didn't want the Dark Lord's daughter... said she fought with Lamoure about it. I wanted to forget everything about you since I didn't want to be associated with the Dark Lord, but I couldn't leave Clementine. We began talking more and the night before I was framed... things got... a little further than they should have."
"She began writing to me while I was in Azkaban; somehow the letters got through. She told me she was pregnant...do you remember that business trip she took not too soon after Claire was born? Well, that's when she could no longer hide her stomach, and that's when she had Amortentia. We gave her to Andromeda Tonks, though we haven't told anyone, and she goes under the name Black. When I first met you, I thought maybe you were Amortentia; that's why I was a bit panicked when I saw you. That's why I was so sure that Clementine and Lamoure only had one child. I then remembered that Clementine was given the Dark Lords daughter and realized it was you. I also realized that you were much too old to be Amortentia. She's only met me a few times... I never wanted anyone to know," he sighed.
"Amortentia knows whose child she is. Was she supposed to?" I asked.
"We told her about a year ago," Sirius nodded. I thought for a moment and then nodded.
"She's a good kid, Sirius," I said.
"Leah?" Thane asked, slowly walking down the stairs.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Things got a bit intense upstairs... Potter is getting angry with Granger and Weasley... I wasn't very comfortable with them," he frowned.
"Maybe we should just go back to the manor," I said wearily.
"I don't really think Draco and I will be such friends... I'd rather not go back there," Thane smirked.
"I don't find the circumstance funny," I snapped.
"What circumstance?" Lupin asked, walking in.
"What's going on?" Tonks asked as she too walked in.
"Nothing," I said bitterly.
"I didn't mean to upset you...I was only being honest," Thane said, moving to touch my shoulder.
"No, you're right. I just don't like the truth," I said, feeling pain tighten around my chest.
"It'll be okay," Thane promised and I rolled my eyes at him.
"It will," Sirius agreed.
"What is going on?" Mrs. Weasley asked, and the trio came down the stairs with looks of curiosity.
"Maybe you should tell them," Sirius said grimly.
"I don't need the whole world knowing my problems," I choked back the tears that began to form, yet my voice was strong.
