Leaving

Didn't know it would cause such grief,

Didn't know it could hurt so much,

Didn't mean to care ,
Didn't mean to give my heart away,
But here it is,
It's in their hands, beating still,
I gave it away,
and now I just feel empty,
Pieces left in each life,
In each tiny hand,
I'll never forget each hug,
Each kiss,
Small arms wrapped around me,
Those are the ones I miss.

I hope I taught you something,
I hope I gave you love,
If you need any more I still have some,
I'm leaving here today, know I love you,
I'll never forget you! 
Just that I am yours, and you are mine
