Life

Life began in a garden,
Under the blush and folds of petals,
Heady scent of fruit,
Dawned a soft blush of something new, a tail as old as time,
Man fell in love and so began the rhyme,
Life began in a garden, at
the exhale of your breath,
A new world beginning,
I will build my life on the mystery,
Where you call me, I will go.

Life did unfold in crimson stains,
Time slipped away, a broken world remained.
The lingering promises, the ones you set in motion, came alive that night,
In a tiny little boy.
Broken pieces came together,
By the fuze  of His blood,
Man learned to love again,
Filled with your holy fire,
The stains of the past, melted away,
Life began in a garden,
World stalled from its spinning,
The evil thought itself winning.
But you knelt there in silence,
A prayer in your lips,
Lingering in the night it slips,
They beat you, they bruised you,
But as the petals fell, from the Rose of Sharon, a new life began
Trampled in the dust, the fragrance heels the hurt, brings us back,
Puts our fate in reverse.
Life began in a garden,
When you stepped out of that grave,
You conquered death, and stood victorious for the people you came to
save.
Greater than I could ever dream!
Further than I could ever see,
Who can compare to the greatest wonder?
Higher than I could ever reach,
Stronger than I could ever be,
nothing compares to how you love me!
