Missing You

Sometimes memories sneak out my eyes,
and flow down my cheeks.
I know I should be strong,
But right now I'm weak
I wish you were here,
Right here with me.
Why did you leave me?
Come on, you can tell me
The sun used to shine,
Shimmer like gold,
I felt young and alive,
But now I feel old.
My lungs ache,
My heart breaks,
Sobs constricting my chest,
The world's so much more grey,
Since I layed you to rest.
Things that I wanted,
Worked to achieve,
Now feel like nothing,
I just want to grieve.
I hope you're proud,
I hope you scream loud,
My name from heaven,
That home in the clouds.
I write these words,
I paint my with my tears,
Pain from missing you,
It seems like it's been years.
I'll probably keep doing this,
Running ink from my pen,
I'll see you again one day,
But until then,
I'll keep writing,
Painting,
Remembering you,
Nothing else I want,
Nothing else to do.
I can't wait to see you,
Again one day dad,
When that time comes,
I know I'll be glad.
