Cried

These tears they fall from the
Corners
Slippin away unnoticed
from the crevices behind my eyes.
I try to hide them and build a wall
But the more I hold it in,
the more they fall.

Like a torrent
down the drain,
They fall in time
With the rain

Black mascara
Poker face
Don't look too close at my fake
Attempt at a smile
It hasn't been real in a while.
A year to be exact
Tomorrow, to the day
I miss you a lot
even more everyday.
Just one day, just one wish.
I wish you were back and I hold you again, hold you close.
You left when I needed you most.
I didn't know really what I had,
until it was gone.

I miss you now,
I miss you bad
I wish you were here my sweet dad.

Could I just go back and hear your voice?
I wish I could,
wish I had that choice.

But you'll be waiting up there for me
I'll see you again one day
You'll see.

But until then,
I shuffle my feet and cry quietly
Waiting impatiently until that day
