Emanuel

Lord of all Creation,
Trembling in a bed of broken hay,
One day would grow to save you,
But that's another day.
Darkness loomed in shadows dark,
But in tiny hands He held the spark.
One that would catch fire,
From the Light of the world.

Young virgin sings a lulaby,
Stars shimmered in a pitch black sky,
Where angels sang and lifted praise,
To the child that she'll raise

God and man became one flesh,
To set the captive free,

Jesus our Savior of Humanity.

Wisdom flows from His mouth,
And healing in His hands,
Love shone through His eyes,
Finding all who run and hide,
Those oppressed, disabled and afraid,
Peace through Him, He freely gave,

Bruised and broken Rose of Sharon
Left alone, lonely and barron,
Blood dripped down in crimson streams,
While Mary crumbles in a heap

With loud and lofty cry, Christ looked upward to the sky,
"Father, it is finished."

All hope seemed lost,
No remedy,
But wait three days, you'll see.

Christ emerged from broken tomb,
Leaving an empty room,
The Lord stood victorious!
Conquering death,
Giving us new life with His final breath.
Now I wait, knowing you'll come,
Having found new life in the Son
