Where are you

I hear you,
you got your hands in the air,
You think I'm silent,
that I don't care.

I can see your tears,
The pain in your chest,
I know why your eyes are open,
And now you can't rest

Your world shattered,
One thing after another,
Now you got another man,
Another lover.

You find fault in him too,
See the warts on his face,
You're clinging to him,
Ignoring my grace.

I thought it would make you, turn around and come back,

But now that you're listening,
Put down your backpack

I gave you my love, and at first,
It was good,
But in a few years,
you left,
like you said you never would.

Your eyes held the sparkle, the one you had for me,
But now your eyes are turned,
not at all looking at me.

One,
two,
three,
Four,

You're lips are moving,
heart far from me,

You're calling out, trying to reach me now that everything is gone,

Am I needed now?

Or am I still a chore?

I see the pain,
I can feel it too,
I'm right there with you,

Know that I miss you

You've been stabbed in the back,
Bleeding, and in pain,

Plastic pieces of your idols wedged in your hands,
I broke them you see,
My love thrown away for a man?

I want what is best,
I want you to find rest,
But you run from me,

from your first love,

I took away my Spirit,
My little dove

It hurts more than you know, to see you in pain,
watching your tears fall like rain

I will run to you,
run after you,

But you have to want me,
Like I want you
