Waltz

I've done this dance before
Yeah I've memorized the steps
I know just what say
So why does it still hurt when you walk away?
I told myself I know just what to do
Ignore
Build up, your walls,
Keep all the excuses handy in a drawer.
At the ready, like a bullet,
Trained to fire off at will,
and never miss a word you say

My eyes are tired of the dark
They're straining for the light
that I just can't find in this dark night

Don't ask me why,
I can't really tell
I think I know
But my hearts been through hell

What do you want me to say?
Or how do I act?
Act naturally
When I don't know how to do that

I'm done trying to clean up the mess
