You're Here

I sunk my feet in sinking sand,
Night so dark I couldn't see your hand

I raised my fist and asked you why,
Where are you?

Silence can be deafening
I can't hear your voice,
I tried to sing, sing to you

I held my breath and waited,
But heaven's voice was gated,
Until you spoke

I don't need to understand, when
everything is in His hands,
I put my trust in you.

When waves keep getting higher,
and I can't feel at ease,
I hear your whisper on the wind,
"I am hear."

I don't need to ask where You are.
I already know, You are with me.
An ever present help in time of need

Chorus

(Even when my back is to the sea,
And all my fears are crowding me,
The one who never left, is holding me,
Holding me.

Even when my back is to the sea,
And all my fears are crowding me,
The one who never left, is holding me,
Holding me. )

I find rest in the shadow of Your
wings,
Your truth is my shield,
I will not fear,
I will not doubt,
Perfect love, unrestrained, pushed fear out.  I'm leaning in, to Your love,
Perfect love.

It never fails, never runs out,
Perfect peace is mine, when I rest in you
