Chapter 16

"Ya, what are you thinking?"he asked, looking carefully at your thinking expression and you laughed awkwardly.

"Don't mind me... what should I do?"you asked in order to finish with this as soon as possible.

"Lets go to my room" was all he said and pointed at the way, which was upstairs. You gasped and slowly headed to that way.

If someone had ever told me that one day I would accompany Akabane to his room, I would have totally laughed to death. Here I am now...

Well, you had noticed that you were not... annoyed by him so much now. It was probably because he knew who Hiro was, because you had admitted that Hiro would want you to date him, because he had saved you, because he was tired... who knows, maybe all of these reasons were at fault for your feelings.

Going up the stairs actually made him even more tired. You had a feeling that in a while you would have to move him around while holding him in bridal style. You didn't even want to think about it.

"This is it" he said and pointed at his room door. You opened it and slowly entered.

For some reason, you always had the impression that every boy room was a total mess; well, that wasn't true for Karma's room. It was clean and comfortable. You noticed it was decorated with weird things from different countries, and you guessed they were probably his parents' presents. On a shelf you noticed a plastic skeleton doll. You gasped and looked away from it.

Karma sat on his bed, relieved to be able to finally get a rest. He patted the space next to him and looked at you.

"Take a seat. You should rest a bit"

Oh God bless this child to always be this nice and kind...

"No, thanks, but it is better to finish with your suitcase. What should I pack first?"you asked, feeling kind of uncomfortable.

1) he is nice, something I can't get used too 2) I have to... actually touch his things and pack them 3) he is staring at me 4) we are in his bedroom... so yeah, I feel pretty uncomfortable...

"Rejecting me again, huh?"he said and sighed deeply.

"Ya! Why are you bringing that up now?"you asked, and remembered the fact that you had rejected him so many times whenever he was asking you to date him. And he had also said that the 'I wanna pay you back because I made you cry' thing was not the reason he wanted to date you. One more reason for you to feel uncomfortable.

Right then, a scary possibility hit you like a truck.

What if he asks to date me again? How can I possibly reject him when he saved me and I admitted that Hiro would want that and he said that if I want to find love I should date him?

And having seen such a side of him...

But... he is Akabane, my opponent... it will actually be ridiculous if I date him... and I an embarrassed... but still, I can't say no...

Then just... don't let him ask again! Oh yeah, that's easy...

"I am bringing it up because... there is something I want to ask you..." he said, never taking his eyes off you and slowly moving to grab your hand.

OH SERIOUSLY?

"Uuuuh.... oh is that your closet?! Yay, let me chose your clothes!!"

You rushed to his closet and opened it. His organised winter clothes were there, and you began choosing carefully what to put in his suitcase. You chose the warmest and most comfortable ones, but also some lighter ones in case it was hot in the cottage. He was observing you from his bed carefully, not making any comment on your actions. You chose pants, scarves, gloves and whatever you could find.
