He and Signe were laying down on his couch, watching some random movie passing on the tv, the two enjoying their last week together before he had to departure and start his tour Illuminate. It was crazy how much it had changed ever since Shawn and the ginger began dating. He won a contest on Youtube and all of the sudden he had a record wanting to sign a contract with him, it was mind blowing, but a welcome change. Signe supported him throughout the whole new change and would sing with him his songs and encouraging him to do better.

The girl herself went through a huge change. Ever since she had left the hospital she used to have nightmares every night, nightmares about Jeremy coming back for her and hurting her again although it was impossible for him to come back considering he was dead. Jolene even had asked Shawn to spend the nights with her because nothing seemed to calm her down. Slowly the nightmares had become less and less until he wasn't needed there anymore. The brown haired boy had to admit it was kind of sad having to go back to sleep in his bed when he was better next to his girl, but that was how life works. Her scar healed well, it was now a reminder of a lesson which most of the times motivated her to be a better person unless she was sad, then she would hate it completely. Shawn had lost the count of how many times he kissed the scar and caressed it with his fingers, telling her she was gorgeous regardless of having that scar or not. When once Signe didn't care about what people thought of her, now she had grown worried about what would cross everyone's mind which ended up getting worse when the boy began rising and becoming more popular with more and more fans at each day. He tried to reassure her, to tell her his fans loved her as well and she shouldn't worry about a thing, but for some reason, she was never convinced. Apart from the negative consequences, everything Signe went through brought also positive consequences. She became more in love with life, constantly wanting to go on adventures and experience as much as she could.

"We may not be here tomorrow, you know." The ginger had said once when they had gotten out at night for a date. Shawn had been about to protest, tell her to not talk about the future when it was so uncertain when she had kept going, ignoring his attempt at trying to talk. "I know you don't wanna hear this, but it's true. I wanna live, go in adventures, so if I die tomorrow, I die knowing I had a good life and built good memories."

Those words, although hard to hear, were able to expand Shawn's mind. He fully understood what she was saying and that opened his eyes on how to learn to enjoy every single moment, to cherish it before it's long gone. Despite loving life a bit more, she became a better version of herself, less naive and more cautious, still stubborn but definitely more open minded which would certainly help her keeping away from more trouble. 

As for their relationship, they progressed slowly as promised. They didn't have any rush, after all, they were young and had a long way ahead of themselves. It had been kind of hard for Shawn to see her flinch if he made a sudden move, to see her distance herself from him if he was holding a knife, to see her cry if she did something wrong, to not give her honest opinion afraid he would get mad at her for having a different opinion and to be afraid of asking something that woke her curiosity. Sure, the brown haired boy could not blame her for her actions, he understood how hard it was to let go of habits she had to have to avoid an angry Jeremy. Bit by bit that began to reduce until she was comfortable around him and let go of the old habits, except the knife one, yet Shawn was sure that was something it would never go away and something everyone did, especially who went through the same as Signe.

"Babe? Babe!" Signe called out drawing his attention towards her. He looked down to see the girl staring at him, her head still laying on his chest.
