His last concert of the Illuminate World Tour was last night which meant he was going home that day. He was going home to his girl. He no longer had an empty house to come to, now he had his girlfriend there and it made him feel even ecstatic to go home. It was sad his tour was over and for him that year flew by with a blink of an eye. In one second he was dating Signe and about to leave, the other he was touring and having trouble dealing with the mess he has created and now they were together again, she moved into his flat and the Illuminate tour was over. It had been hilarious seeing his fans freaking out when they figured out Signe was now living with him after she posted a boomerang on Instagram of her chilling on the balcony. Some didn't want that to be happening - which he didn't care about - but most of his fans were happy for them which made him happier than he already was.

Shawn picked up his phone, taking advantage of the small free time he had at the moment to text his girlfriend.

Babyyy

Will you be there to pick me up at the airport today?

I don't think I can :(

But I can cook dinner to compensate you!

As long as I can be with you I'm happy :)

I'm really sorry I can't show up. My last song is almost over I just need to record a small segment and then I'm done.

You're the best ❤

I know I am ;)

Can't wait to see you again. I fucking miss you!

I fucking miss you too!

"Hey Mendes! Stop sexting your girlfriend and go pack your things!" Mike, his drummer exclaimed with a chuckle.

"I already did. I'm just waiting for you guys!" He rolled his eyes at his friends and kept talking with Signe until she had to go finish what she had to finish leaving Shawn waiting for his mates to go to the airport and catch the plane that would take him home.

Once on the airplane, the boy decided to try to sleep, that way the time would pass quickly and he would be back with his girl in no time. Such simple task revealed to be hard, his excitement was growing bigger at any minute making it harder to fall asleep. He began wondering how his life was going to be now that he was about to start a new chapter of his life by sharing his apartment with the love of his life. Shawn had everything he wanted. He could definitely say that life was smiling at him. It felt good being in his place, he wouldn't switch with anyone else even if they offered him a million dollars. The boy leaned back in his seat, closing his eyes one more time. This time the brown haired boy imagined how he would be welcomed home differently. He wouldn't get to his apartment and be greeted by the silence. No. This time he would get home, listen to whatever music Signe would be listening to while cooking and be greeted with one of his favorite smiles. Shawn couldn't help but feel anxious to feel her arms around him, the way her lips tasted on him... As he kept on imagining it, sleep was slowly catching up to him and like he wanted, he drifted to sleep.

Shawn was woken up by one of his friends, telling him they were about to land and he had slept through the whole trip which happened to be a 12-hour flight. Despite having slept the whole time, he felt drained which annoyed him. The point of sleeping on the trip was getting back home quickly and save some energy.

They got out of the plane, went to grab their bags and then walked out to be greeted by Shawn's family as well as by lots of fans who knew about his arrival. Although having a tired look and feeling drained, he still took a few selfies with his fans, not with all of them, unfortunately, yet he was only one. Besides, he just wanted to get home.

"Look who is here!" He heard Blake exclaim as he approached his family. The blond boy appeared to be happier than he had ever been and it made Shawn feel glad that his life was finally starting to smile at him as well. They hugged each other briefly, his eyes wandering through the crowd searching for Signe. He knew she wouldn't come. However, he was still hopeful she would show up.

"How was your flight?" His mother asked as she pulled her son into a tight hug.

"It was nice." He answered with a tired smile. He turned to greet his father and then his younger sister.

They left the airport together, chatting happily, his mother trying to convince him to come and have dinner with his family and his friends at her house. Shawn refused. It wasn't because he didn't want to or because the only thing that he wanted was to be with his girlfriend. He refused due to being tired. The boy set the dinner for the next day when he would be more energized. As for that moment, all he wanted was to go back and relax a bit.

He caught up with Blake, just to make sure nothing was wrong with him, Maddie - who he didn't know had made it to college - or his girlfriend. It was unbelievable how it seemed like yesterday they were just teens making mistakes, trying to save a friend from an unhealthy relationship with no idea of what the future held for them. Now. Now, one of them was famous and just finished his third tour. The other one was in college. Then another one was working hard on their dream. The last, but not least, had been hired in another job to save enough to begin college soon. No one was living a bad life.

Soon, Shawn found himself in the elevator of the building, just so he didn't need to take the stairs and climb so much. When he opened the door, a delicious smell filled his nostrils. It smelled like Chinese food, yet it didn't matter. All that mattered to the boy was that she loved him as much as he loved her. He walked to their room, his face with a tired smile as he heard to the water running from the bathroom mixed with a soft melody. He dropped his bags next to his bed and the next thing he did was walk in the bathroom.

"Jesus! You're scared me!" Signe exclaimed with a giggle, a wide happy smile on her face.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!" He chuckled. "Mind if I join you?"

"Nope."

The boy took his clothes off and joined his girlfriend in the shower, their lips connecting. They shared a tender, yet intense and passionate kiss after all the time apart. He was proud of them, from being able to hold on, although they had been separated from each other for a long time. It made the brunet rethink about his life choices. He was so foolish for breaking up with her before. Despite that being in the past now, he made him feel guilty for not believing in them when they were capable of dealing with the distance. Sure it hurt. Yet, there were they. Sharing the same roof and the same bed. Who knows if one day they wouldn't be sharing the same last name.

A/N: Hey guys! I'm sorry this chapter is so short and crap. I've been so stressed out lately and my anxiety is just getting worse. It didn't help having two writer's block in this chapter, but I'm past that, fortunately. I'll edit this one day, once the first book is edited so don't worry, this will get better.

Also, the next chapter will be bigger and definitely better! Stay tuned!

Peace out,

Bee
