As soon as she finished the call from the Island Records the ginger decided to call Alex to give him the good news. Her excitement was too much and she needed to share with someone. The phone did not ring for too long until a sleepy Alex picked up the call and before he had the chance to speak Signe spilled everything.
"Oh my God Alex you have no idea of who just called me! I'm so happy!" She shouted. Her mind brought the thought of her mother and how proud she would be of her. She wished her mother was still among her, she still needed her.
"Okay, I can see that but who called you?" Alex questioned curiously. While she told him about the phone call she began crying, the emotions inside her battling against each other with no mercy. Signe was feeling happy and sad at the same time, happy because she was moving on and sad because she was still recovering from losing the two most important people in her life. "Breathe please."
"I'm trying!" Signe told him as she focused on her breathing. Her mind, which once used to be a delightful placed, started throwing negative questions at her. Was she ready for it? Did she deserve it? What if she became like Shawn and forgot important people like Blake and Maddie? What if people didn't like her?
"Signe, your breathing is getting faster. Please relax!"
"Alex, what if this ain't for me?" She questioned fearfully. She bit her inferior lip, panicking with the idea she wouldn't survive the music industry.
"Are you kidding me? If you saw how you rocked the stage tonight you wouldn't be saying that!" The boy exclaimed from the other side of the line, earning a small smile from Signe. "When you get back to Canada you're going to slay them."
"I don't know about that, but we'll see."
"Don't make me quote Milo! Some positivity please!"
"I'm gonna slay them all when I get back!" Signe rolled her eyes at the boy and lied down on the bed again, her green eyes focused on the ceiling above her.
"That's the spirit!" He exclaimed from the other side of the line. They talked for a little longer until they both decided it was time to go to sleep and celebrate the next day along with Milo who would certainly be ecstatic and Steph - according to Alex she would be happy for her, yet the ginger was aware Stephanie wouldn't be happy at all for her.
Later on, the ginger woke up to Blake's call on Facetime. She groaned whilst opening her eyes against her will, all she wanted to do was sleep considering that was the first night she had actually had some rest while sleeping. However, since it was Blake she forced herself to answer the phone and to turn on the light on the bedside table.
"Hi, cookie!" Blake yelled at the screen. Upon seeing the girl stir and blink repeatedly he chuckled. "I miss you girl! How're things going?"
"Blake, first of all, it's too early in the morning here. Second, I miss you too, cupcake." Signe spoke sleepily as she rubbed her eyes, it was so hard to keep them open she feared she would fall asleep on him.
"Oh, sorry, but sleeping can wait. Cupcake huh? Things must be really going well!" The blonde boy smirked. That's when the girl noticed Bonnie was on top of his chest, which was a very cute and adorable view and caused her to smile warmly at the view.
"A few hours ago I got a call from Island Records. They want to sign a contract with me." She confessed as she watched his expressions changing from shock to complete joy. As expected he started shouting congratulating her, scaring away the poor bunny on his chest who ended up jumping to the floor with such scare.
"I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU COOKIE! I CAN'T WAIT FOR YOU TO GET YOUR CUTE ASS OVER HERE SO WE CAN CELEBRATE RIGHT!" He shouted, causing the girl to cringe.
"Blake!" Signe protested as she laughed. She couldn't wait to go back to Canada either, Scotland was a gorgeous country yet there isn't a place like home.
"But wait, did you sing? Who forced you to do it?"
"No one. I did it willingly." The ginger replied. She tried to repress a smile from showing up, yet upon seeing Blake's face lit up with pride and joy she freed the smile.
"Aww, my cookie is growing up so fast." As he said those words Blake's smile began to fade, his attention not all on Signe, but in something else on his mind.
"Blake, are you alright?" She questioned as she furrowed her brows. Why did he look so sad all of the sudden? She asked herself as she watched the boy shift uncomfortably on the couch.
"Nothing. Is just occurred me I have to wake up earlier tomorrow and I should go to sleep and so do you. I woke you up." Blake answered clearly closing himself up as he usually did. Signe began fearing he would have a blow-up or something soon like he did back on High School which got worse with Jeremy's actions. She had to take a plane very soon and be there for him like he was for her when she fell into the abyss, into the cold water that suffocated her for so long." Goodnight cookie."
"Wait Bla-"
The call went down before Signe could finish her sentence. She groaned as one hand ran through her hair as the other one put her phone beside her. She leaned her head against the bed board and sighed in frustration. While the ginger was more of letting all her emotions and frustrations out, Blake closed himself and that was frustrating, yet it was how he worked with his feelings, she couldn't judge him.
She made herself comfortable in bed, holding the second pillow next to her, cuddling with it and closed her eyes. She was definitely leaving Scotland soon and figure out what was wrong with Blake. The girl could not fail him, especially after all he did for her.

"Do you really have to go?" Milo inquired pouting as Signe pulled him for a hug. It was incredible how in a matter of hours they had become good friends. It was a weird thought, considering there wasn't much they knew about each other. Yet, that wasn't certainly the last time they would meet.
"Yes, my friend needs me. He helped me so much, I have to help him too." Signe explained while hugging him tighter before releasing him from her embrace. Stephanie kept pretending she was talking on the phone on the distance, visibly trying to avoid the ginger, something she didn't need to do because the girl would ignore her anyways.
"We understand." Alex said. He flashed a sad smile at her and pulled her into a hug, whispering into her ear. "We might visit you sooner than you expect."
"I'd like that." She spoke whilst closing her eyes. Hugging Alex felt like she had hugged him many other times before. It was as if they had known each other for so long. The truth was that Alex in a matter of hours gained a huge meaning for her. Without him she would be probably still depressed, trapped in her own dark mind, falling deeper and deeper in the abyss and wouldn't certainly be so close to accomplishing her dream like she was currently.
"Then, it shall happen very briefly!" The blue-eyed boy exclaimed as he hugged her tighter.
"Why does he get a longer hug than me? No Milo, no contract!" Milo protested. Signe and Alex chuckled and let go of one another. The two rolled their eyes at the boy, still laughing. The ginger was going to hug him again when she was called to go to the plane that would take back to Toronto.
"I guess your hug will have to wait." The girl told Milo as she grabbed her bag. She diverted her attention towards the gate that would lead her to the plane which would take her back home.
"I won't forget that!" The boy declared with a smirk.
They said their goodbyes - except for Stephanie, yet Signe didn't care - and she began walking in the direction of the plane. The idea of going back home where everything happened bringing her a sense of melancholy she wanted desperately to get rid off. Toronto held so much more than sadness and broken hearts, it held good memories and these were worth remembering no matter how painful they could be. Now, she was going to face the negative memories and punch them in the face for getting in her way. If she didn't fight for her own happiness then who would? It was all on her.
It was time to try and be happy.
