Blake did not pick her up at the airport since he was either sleeping or getting ready to go to work, so instead, she called a taxi to bring her to their apartment after landing. The flight back home was calm, Signe spent most of her time listening to music as she stared out of the window, observing the skies change from grey to blue as the plane distanced itself from Scotland.

As soon she got home and realized Blake wasn't there, the ginger tried to think of a way of how to reach Eva in order to know if she was aware of any strange behavior coming from the blond boy. The only solution was to look through Facebook or Instagram and they didn't fail her. She bit her lip as she wrote a small and simple message asking her if she had any time to call her so they could talk. Meanwhile, as the girl waited for an answer, she began unpacking her stuff as well as to spoil Bonnie more than she already was spoiled. All of a sudden, her phone began ringing. Signe almost ran towards it, picked it up and answered without looking at the id of the call.

"Hello?"

"Hey, babe! I saw you at the airport today, you seemed to be in a hurry so I didn't call you. But hey! We're both in Toronto now and we must meet up. I won't take a no for an answer, so tell me. Where should we meet up?" Maddie said a little too fast. Signe wanted to be with her, she missed Maddie so much, but she was still trying to figure out the reason why the boy shut her down so quickly last night.

"Well, uh, I don't know. Why don't you choose?" The ginger asked as she checked the messages to know whether Eva had seen them or not.

"Humm, I have something terrible I need to tell you. So, not in public. At your apartment maybe? I'm still living with my mom and I need privacy. This is really bothering me." The blonde let out. Fuck no was Signe's first thought. She was tired of tragedies, tired of things going wrong to her side, yet she wasn't going to Maddie fend for herself.

"Alright... You can come. I'll be waiting for you."

They shared a few more words and then Maddie turned down the call. Until then, still no answer from Eva. The ginger decided to not freak out, Blake was allowed to keep his owns secrets as well as to have bad days, yet his reaction told her there was something to it she couldn't understand.

While waiting for Maddie to show up, the girl changed herself into more comfortable clothes - some sweatpants and a plain t-shirt - and tied her hair in a messy bun to complete the home look. That day, she would be at home as for the next one she would sign the contract and enter the world of the music officially. Then, the bell rang and Signe walked towards the door with an excited smile flourishing on her lips. Last time she saw Maddie was at her mother's funeral. When she opened the door she almost gasped, Maddie appeared to be so different. Her skin was darker from all the sun she had been catching, she had freckles on her face, her blonde hair was shorter barely touching her shoulders and her brown eyes seemed to be lighter.

"Damn Maddie!" Signe exclaimed in shock.

"Right?!" The girl joined her. She twirled around showing her new self and then pulled her for a hug. "You have no idea of how bad I wanted to bring those beautiful people. They are so kind and are grateful for the smallest things. Helping them and see them smile. Signe you should have been there with me! You would have loved it!"

"I'm sure I would." The ginger replied. She was released from the girl's grip and closed the front door whilst Maddie stepped towards the couch.

"I cried when I first got in Africa and saw their misery and I cried harder when I had to leave. I so wanted to bring a little girl with me. She told me she had a dream and she knew how it would never happen. Can you hear my heart break?" The blonde told her, her eyes tearing up by mentioning the little girl she had met in Africa.
