When Signe finished typing the whole song, she felt amazed and it was regardless to say it was the first positive emotion she had felt for a while. It felt good to feel something other than sadness or to just feel something at all. Maybe accepting that she had to change had made her understand there was still so much more to her life than it was right now.

"Well, that was easier than I expected." Alex chuckled as Signe handed him her phone allowing him to see what she wrote. Stephanie and Milo got closer to the blue-eyed boy having to peek over his shoulder to read the lyrics as well.

"This is some really good shit girl. You truly have talent!" Milo exclaimed with a large smile. The ginger tried to smile back at him, yet it didn't last more than mere seconds.

"I second that!" Alex agreed as he handed her phone back. Stephanie was the only one who didn't comment and Signe was glad she didn't, her opinion wasn't going to matter in the end. "We can work with that."

"Hell yeah, I can already listen to the melody in my head!" Milo said whilst moving his head along the imaginary beat playing in his mind.

Their excitement over her made her feel better, they weren't looking at her and feeling sorry for everything she went through, they weren't smiling sympathetically at her or feeling pity. They were acting as if nothing had happened to her as if she was her friend for a long time and that was great. It helped her to think about something other than the loss of her mother. She had been needing that and she felt grateful for accepting to come to Scotland even though it was against her will in the beginning. In a matter of minutes, Milo and Alex were scribbling down in a notebook they had borrowed from Michael next to Signe while Stephanie was sitting on the floor, her back leaning against the wall, her fingers playing random notes on an acoustic guitar they had in the warehouse. Eventually, they had to make a break - Alex offered to get them coffee - and the ginger took advantage of the free time to text Blake and telling him what she was up too. She could almost imagine his reaction while reading her texts, he would certainly be satisfied with the good news. However, all that - the help, the new friends, the small improvements she was doing - made her sad because she knew it would end. Nothing that is good lasts forever.

"Okay, so I got your coffees. Enjoy them, folks, they aren't always free." Alex teased as he began handing Steph a mug filled with hot coffee. She thanked him with a big shiny smile, her eyes glimmering on those brief seconds which caused Signe to furrow her brows. She was starting to have a glimpse of what was happening around her, yet she decided to not jump into conclusions.

"We ain't gonna have time to practice this, but I'm pretty sure we can nail this on the first try." The dark skinned boy said as he rubbed his hands against each other and smiled with confidence.

"How can you be so sure?" Signe inquired. She tilted her head to the side slightly and pressed her lips together.

"Wow wow wow!" Milo rose his hands as he acted offended. Alex rolled his eyes at his friend's dramatic acts. Signe just smiled at the boy. " Signe Wilson! Girl! You hurt me deeply."

"She kinda has a point," Stephanie argued. She picked up the guitar again after putting the empty mug of coffee to the side. Her hair was now tied up in a messy ponytail and she was no longer chewing gum.

"Your lips are moving, but all I hear is blah blah blah." Milo spat. He sent her a glare through his glasses, his lips forming a tense line.

"I wasn't being rude or anything! I was just saying!"

"If we wanted negativity we would have asked for it, but since we didn't would you mind go back to your little corner? There are people here trying to have a nice day."
