His eyes began to sting upon what he was seeing on Twitter. In one way he was happy that Signe was back to singing after not doing it for so long, but on the other hand, he was sad she was moving on from him. Shawn knew he hadn't been very nice to her, he was aware of how bad he had hurt her and it broke him knowing he was the cause of her pain. He had tried to text her, tell her he was sorry but he couldn't bring himself to write and it wasn't because of his pride since he wasn't proud of his actions, in fact, he regretted them. Texting Signe and apologize through messages would only make worse so he'd rather wait for the right time. However, Shawn was so afraid of screwing up badly he ended up not apologizing at all and didn't visit Blake during his break considering Signe was now living with him and Shawn was almost certain he knew what words had left the boy's mouth. Now, he stumbled upon the video of his favorite ginger singing, the smile he missed deeply on her face and the look she sent to the boy playing guitar next to her which used to be the way she looked at him and his heart just broke into million pieces. That was all his fault, to begin with. If he had given a chance to their relationship instead of turning it down foolishly then things would have been different.

Next thing he knew he had a text from Blake to which he didn't know how to answer. Shawn panicked after reading the text, guilt starting to consume him. Signe needed him and he wasn't able to text her or call her and whenever he tried he would get to the edge of breaking down and he couldn't. He had a tour to focus on and he couldn't be distracted.

"Are you okay?" Niall Horan questioned as he sent him a worried and curious look through the lenses of his glasses. They were in the same city and ended up meeting up, they were talking when Shawn saw the video in his timeline by some girl called Stephanie.

"Uh? Oh, yeah. Yeah, I'm good." He lied whilst blocking his phone, not in time for Niall to not catch a glimpse of the screen.

"After all, what had to you and Signe?" Right in the wound, Shawn thought, yet he couldn't forget he brought it all on himself.

"I...I screwed up." The brown-haired boy admitted with a sigh, a tear rolling down his face. With his free hand, he cleaned it, but once cleaned another showed up and then another and just like that he was crying.

"Oh boy. What did you do?" Niall inquired worriedly as he placed a hand on his shoulder.

"I broke up with her and it was a mistake, but what's worse was what I said to her." Shawn sobbed. Why hadn't he listened to Signe while he could? They had both learned the lesson to listen to each other after the whole Jeremy situation and what Shawn did next was ignoring her. "She must hate me now. I know my best friend does."

The caramel-eyed boy unblocked his phone and showed to Niall the message he had gotten from Blake saying the following:

"Hey Shawn,
It's your friend here in case you needed to be reminded. I can't believe you were on a break from your tour and you didn't even come to me and say hi. Am I just not on your level anymore?
I don't know what's worse, being forgotten by your best friend or ignored.
Not to mention you didn't even called Signe or texted her. Her mother fucking died and you just go on with your life as if Signe never meant anything to you. You two were best friends before dating remember? And she needed you and you weren't there.
But you know what? It's fine. We don't want you here either. After what you said to her and did to me we'll just move on as if you were never here.
Don't call me when you realized you fucked up. I'm pretty sure your new buddies will be delighted to help you."

"Ouch." The Irish man breathed out before he scratched his neck and looked away. "You know, not everything is lost. This is recent. You can still change this."
