A month. It had been a month since Shawn broke up with her and left her behind to tour. It was still hard for the girl to move on from something that meant so much to her, something that had so much impact on her life. How was she supposed to let go of something like that? Having Bonnie around had made a lot of changes, she wouldn't cry herself to sleep anymore now that she had the bunny sleeping in her arms, she would eat with Blake now - not only because she wanted Bonnie to enjoy her meal, but because she was actually hungry - it wasn't as much as she used to eat before, yet Signe was certain she would get there soon. The ginger would now leave the house, mostly to get Bonnie's food and few other supplies. Sometimes she would get home talking about how she saw a store needing someone else to help them and how it was a possibility for her to start working. All these improvements made Blake happy as well as for her mother Daniel and herself. Feeling like she was finally being useful for a change had made her feel much better.
Signe opened the door to her apartment, she placed the plastic bags inside for a few seconds so she could go inside and closed the door behind her. She picked up the plastic bags again and walked towards the kitchen where she proceeded to take all the groceries she had bought. While the girl put the stuff away she heard little steps behind her, Bonnie's small paws were adorable. The ginger looked back down and smiled at her pet.
"Hey, darling!" Signe greeted her own pet. Bonnie looked up, her tiny nose moving adorably as she sniffed the air. Blessed was the day her friend brought her along, she loved being around the little bunny and at her eyes, Bonnie loved to be around her too.
"There you are. What are phones for cookie?" Blake questioned as he showed up in the kitchen only wearing boxers. When she peeked over her shoulder to answer the boy she immediately looked away, hiding her blushing cheeks. The boy was buff, buffer than he was back in high school, yet you could only notice it when he wore shirts, flannel - which he rarely used it, he found it tedious and the material weird - or when he wasn't wearing any shirt at all. Now standing there, in boxers was different. Signe couldn't imagine her walking around the apartment only in her underwear, yet if Blake was comfortable around her that way, then she would accept.
"Just say it, I'm hot."
"You're an idiot. That's what you are." She joked as she tried to recompose herself. "I know, I just forgot my phone I'm sorry. I was paying attention to Bonnie."
"Don't you dare put the blame on an innocent bunny!"He exclaimed dramatically as he crouched to pick up the little girl. It had become a joke between the two that Bonnie was a redheaded as well, that Blake was into redheads and that was the reason why he brought Bonnie and allowed Signe to be his roommate. "Just look at her! How can you blame her?"
"That's what she wants you to think! One day, she'll stab you in the back and your murderer will never be found since no one blames innocent bunnies!" Signe continued as she turned around and took Bonnie from his arms. Blake placed one of his hands on his chest, pretending to be offended and hurt.
"Well, I'm glad you're fine. I was worried."
"You can't get rid of me so easily."
"Unfortunately." He murmured as he took a cup from the cupboard, opened the tap of the sink, filled his glass with water. Signe chuckled and stick her tongue out to him childishly. "Oh, by the way, I was thinking that the two of us could grab a coffee today."
"Yeah, sure! You need to get dressed first."
"Nah, I'm good." Blake replied with a wink. He drank the water from his cup, left the cup on the sink and went to his room to get dressed, meanwhile, Signe was feeding Bonnie who bounced around happily after the girl. After feeding her, the ginger sat down on the couch, grabbed her phone which was lying on top of the center table and began posting on social media. First, she apologized on Twitter for not being online to interact with fans, she noticed that the whole world was already aware of Shawn and her break up which made her sad, the girl didn't want it to be true, yet there was nothing left to do. She posted a picture of her bunny on Instagram thanking Blake for her gift and how much Bonnie meant to her. That caused her fans to react immediately, to go crazy over her posts and welcoming her. Signe had to admit, that reaction warmed her heart.
