23. The scientist.

Lauren POV.

"When you find yourself, come back for me." Camila wiped her flowing eyes.

"What.." My voice cracked.

Camila is giving up on me and I don't think I can take this.

"Please Lauren." She whispered.

"I can't--" tears fly out of my eyes.

My stomach twists in knots thinking of not being with camila. Not being able to touch her skin and hear her laugh.

I hear a silent sob out of her mouth.

"I'm gonna go." I whisper.

I get up and walks toward the door when I hear,

"Lauren."

I stop right in my tracks.

I turn around an give my full attention to camila.

"Don't forget how much I love you..." She sniffles.

"Never, will I forget." I smile.

And with that I walk out the door.

Camilas POV.

What I said needed to be done. I'm not Lauren's saving grace not will I ever be. Lauren is her own hero of this story. She doesn't need to be saved by me or someone.

Lauren's POV.

I walk downstairs when I pass harry coming up.

"Lauren?" Harry's voice filled with confusion.

"Harry." I cough.

"What are you-"

"Long story, I went to visit camila. It's okay. I won't be back, harry. Sorry." I give a weak smile.

He shrugs and keeps walking.

I walk down to my car and drive the long way home.

Camilas POV.

Harry walks into the apartment and sets the pair of keys on the table.

"Hey harry!" I smile and hide the emotion I was just feeling moments ago.

"I ran into Lauren, she seems torn up." He mumbles.

My heart feels like a million knifes was jabbed into it.

I nod.

"Yeah." I whisper.

I walk back into my room silently and read.

Lauren's POV.

I drove down this dusty rode, a tractor trailer driving towards me fast.

I start to shake, will it swerve over or should I.

I start to swerve to the opposite side of the tractor trailer. But in that moment it crashes into me.

But everything turns black.
