"Bye princess!" you giggled as you hugged Paris, "And Prince," you giggled more as you warmly embraced the two kids.

"Bye!" they cheered in unison as you walked out the door and exited the gates of Neverland.

You were twenty four years old and a nanny. You'd been looking for a job for three years until you stumbled across the once in a lifetime opportunity to be a minder for Michael Jackson's children. Frankly, you loved your job and the kids loved you - you were happy. The only problem was...you'd become attracted to Michael and he was much, much older than you.

"Hey girl!" Lacy, your best friend, greets you as you walk into the small cafe you planned to meet her at.

"Hi Lazy!" you tease as the two of you sit down.

"Ha.ha. Very funny," she says with a straight face then perks up again, "How was the job today?" she wiggles her eyebrows.

"Lacy," you chuckle, "It was normal," you said as you shook your head.

"Normal?" she scrunches her face up, "Of all words to describe working for the man you're attracted to-  you say normal?" she frowns.

"Sh! Shut up Lacy!" you whisper yell, "People can hear you!" you stress.

"So?" she raises an eyebrow, "What's that got to do with the price of fish?" she bobs her head from side to side. She was a crazy one.

"Nothing. Which is why you should drop the subject," you roll your eyes and sip your coffee.

"Come on (Y/N)! How long have you been working for him? Four months?" she looks at you, not touching her coffee.

"Five," you correct her.

"Okay, five months. There has to be something between the two of you," she states passionately.

"No! Look, I'm his children's nanny and that's all there is to it. He sees me as an employee and nothing more. Besides, he's like twenty six years older than me...I don't think he wants to get himself into that kind of mess," you shrug.

"Well you're an adult! It's not like he's doing anything illegal," Lacy reasons.

"People already have the wrong idea about him...the last thing I want to do is make it worse for him," you retort.

"Well the media is warped...they're going to badmouth him irrespective of his decisions," she snaps quickly.

"Yeah," you sigh, "But still, I don't think he's into that kind of thing," you say.

"What do you mean 'that kind of thing'? There's nothing weird about it (Y/N)," she says sternly.

"Yeah. No I didn't mean it like that...I just-" you breathe, "it's not like I can just go up to him and be like 'hi I'm your children's nanny and I'd like to start a relationship with you because I like you...how about it?' it's ridiculous," you scoff.

"It's not! Look, girl...you've been hurt quite a few times in love and I just want you to be happy," she looks at you sincerely.

"And you think Michael is the solution to my woes?" you raise an eyebrow sarcastically.

"Yeah (Y/N). I actually do. I think this guy can make you happy," she says seriously.

You scoff and stand up. "Listen Lacy, I appreciate the thought but I really gotta get home because it's getting dark," you sigh.

"(Y/N), just remember what I've said...if you don't take the risk, you'll never know," she mutters.

You frown. "You've never said that," you raise an eyebrow questioningly.
