"I'm nervous," you sigh as you stare at yourself in the mirror - wearing a rather decent swimsuit. "I haven't been swimming in a while," you look at your best friend Luisa.

The two of you had decided to go swimming, something you hadn't done in ages - and you were pretty nervous about the bold step you were about to take.

You never liked swimming because of the small amount of clothing one had to wear when swimming - you were pretty insecure with your body so it was a problem for you.

But....your best friend had encouraged you to go swimming with her and....the rest, as they say - is history.

"Just don't think about it too much," she giggles, pushing you playfully. "Besides, you've got an amazing body! You have nothing to be nervous about!"

"Yeah," you scoff sarcastically. "That's what you think,"

"Oh come on, chill and let's go swim!" she says excitedly, pulling your hand as she drags you out of the changing room.

"Uh.." you follow her hesitantly. "Okay, I guess,"

"Just come into the water!" Luisa nags and you shake your head as you observe your best friend float effortlessly in the water. "It doesn't hurt,"

You glance around nervously and shake your head once more.

"I don't want to," you shrug. "I really just want to sit back and enjoy the sun,"

"Really?" she raises an eyebrow, moving closer to the edge of the pool so that conversing will become easier. "Why are you so wound up?"

"I'm not," you shrug. "I just don't want to be in the water as yet,"

"Yeah that's what you say and then.....you never end up coming in," she rolls her eyes.

"Well at least I'm here with you," you retort.

"Lorelai..." she shakes her head. "You're something else..I swear,"

"Can you stop nagging me?" you raise an eyebrow playfully and she scoffs.

"I'd stop nagging you if you tried to be a little more spontaneous!" she argues.

"I am spontaneous!" you defend.

"Yeah right," she mutters. "Listen.........." she trails off, at a loss for words. "You know what? Never mind,"

"Lorelai!" Luisa exclaims once again.

Just when I thought I'd had my peace!

"It's been an hour! Are you seriously not coming into the water?" she says with an annoying sense of persistence.

"I already told you," you roll your eyes, looking over at her from your chair. "I'm not getting into the water,"

"Why not?!" she groans.
