𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒂 𝒄...
I stared out of the aeroplane window and sighed blissfully. The sky looked so beautiful, it was almost like a whole new world up where the clouds floated. I smiled a little as I leaned back against the seat and enjoyed the serenity that I'd felt upon being surrounded by something other than media frenzy and city buzz.
"Princess?" Michael whispered in my ear, making me turn my head to see his face right in front of mine. I widened my eyes a little from our sudden closeness, then began to smile widely. "I see you're enjoying yourself so far, and we aren't even in Italy yet,"
He bit his lip cheekily and I rolled my eyes slightly.
"I still can't believe you're taking me on an unnecessary holiday," I raised an eyebrow.
"And I still can't believe you don't see how much you deserve everything," he tapped my nose.
I opened my mouth to say something before one of the flight attendants approached the two of us.
Since Michael and I had hired the entire aircraft, as well as the staff, so we weren't necessarily isolated.
I found myself frowning a little as I stared at the flight attendant. It was a female and she was extremely beautiful.
How do people manage to look that beautiful though?
Her brown locks fell to her shoulders and were neatly fastened into a fashionable ponytail. Her dress stopped just above her knee and she had a scarf tied beautifully around her neck. She looked stunning. Did I mention? Her eyes were electric grin and her skin was a beautiful shade of alabaster.
Ew.
"Mr. and Mrs. Jackson," she smiled sweetly, flashing her perfectly set, white teeth. "Is everything alright? Could I get the both of you anything?"
It bugged you even more that she was sweet. It wasn't enough that she was drop dead gorgeous, she had to he kind as well.
You looked at Michael and saw that he was biting his lip slightly whilst looking at the flight attendant. He'd always had a habit of doing that whenever he had his eyes on a beautiful girl.
I would have been lying if I had said that I wasn't even a little jealous.
Michael smiled at the woman and shook his head.
"I'm fine," he smiled before looking at me. "Would you like something sweetheart?" he looked at me with soft eyes.
As much as I had tried not to look jealous or agitated, I ended up doing so anyway as I folded my arms and shook my head.
Michael frowned upon seeing my sudden change in demeanor.
The flight attendant stared for a moment before clearing her throat and walking away.
"What's wrong?" Michael whispered to me.
I said nothing, turning my gaze back to the window.
"(Y/N)?" Michael put his hand on mine but I pulled it away.
I saw him frown from my peripheral vision. I knew my behavior was childish but I simply couldn't help it.
"Okay," he sighed. "What did I do?" he narrowed his eyes, making me turn my head to face him again.
"You didn't do anything," I mumbled. "She did,"
Michael frowned again before comprehending the gist of my words.
"Are you jealous?" he chuckled a little.
I looked at him with mean eyes and stood up.
"No, I'm not!" I exclaimed before trying to walk past Michael to get to the aisle in order to make my way to the bathroom.
But Michael stuck his legs out and shook his head.
"You always like to walk away when you know I'm right," he sighed. "For once can you just sit down and talk about the issue with me?"
I sighed after a moment's thought before deciding to sit down after all.
"Fine," I huffed. "You, my friend, married an insecure woman. A woman that's always jealous about even the littlest of things,"
I watched as Michael looked at me with astonished eyes. I had never been so honestly frank about something in my entire life.
"And I love her," he shrugged. "Too much to be considered normal. So what's the problem?" he raised an eyebrow. "Some pretty flight attendant? Pretty isn't the same as beautiful," he moved closer to me, brushing a bit of my hair away from my face. "And you, my love, are more beautiful than any other person I've ever met,"
I let out a breath that I didn't know I had been holding in, completely speechless.
He took my hand in his and continued to look into my eyes before we felt the aircraft jerk.
We were going down.
