Chapter 3

" Thirteen more, thirteen more—" Y/N kept chanting until a frustrated scream pierced her ears.

She gave a little jump before turning around to find Pegasus pacing back and forth while muttering some words and running both hands through her hair.

Y/N approached the frustrated girl and gently touched her shoulder.

" Peggie?"

Pegasus turned to her then, her silvery eyes glowed fiercely and her hands clenched into fists. When she realised it's only the princess, the glow of her eyes faded and her face softened.

" Oh, it's only you." she said and went to sit on a cushion and then covered her face with her hands.

Y/N came to sit beside her and put an arm around Pegasus's shoulder. She then gasped when she felt the girl's shoulders shook and a soft whimper came from her.

" Peggie? Oh, no... don't tell me you're crying," Y/N said softly.

Pegasus pulled her hands away from her face and Y/N could see tears streaming down her pale glowing face. It was the first time she had ever saw Pegasus crying. The girl was usually so cheerful, strong, and tough.

" What happened? Wanna share?" Y/N asked, making a box of tissue appeared out of thin air before handing it to the crying girl.

" Thanks. It's just that... I was... I was at my place, then I saw the very person that I hated the most in the whole galaxy... she's been gone for so long and I thought she would never come back. But now... ugh!" Pegasus explained and she propped her knees up until they meet her chest and wrapped her arms around them. " I just don't know what to do..." she whispered.

" Who's this person?" Y/N asked.

" You don't wanna know. She's the most horrible person you'll ever met! And trust me, she's not the type of person who is kind. She's a psycho... you don't know how I'm feeling right now, Y/N. Anyway, I need to go. See you later." Pegasus said and with that she stood up and walked away, her wings drooping behind her.

Leaving a confused Y/N alone.

As Pegasus disappeared from sight, Y/N sighed and walked to the library across the academy's hall. When she went inside she saw Elsa and Anna sitting at a table with a stack of books in front of them. She went to them and sat in front of them.

" Hi, Y/N," the sisters greeted in unison.

" Hey." Y/N replied and picked a book from the stack and flipped through the pages, though she was not reading it since her mind was focused on Pegasus.

" Um... do you see anything different about Pegasus lately?" she asked the two.

Elsa and Anna looked up from their books and stared at her.

" Well... we do notice something," Elsa started.

" Sometimes Pegasus seems to be lost in her thoughts and she isn't that cheerful these past few days," Anna finished.

" Yeah, well. Just now she suddenly, like, exploded. Her eyes were glowing dangerously but when I came to her she's back to normal but then she cried—" Elsa interrupted Y/N before she could finish.

" Hang on. Pegasus cried?" she asked.

Y/N nodded.

" Are you sure you're talking about the Pegasus who hardly ever cries, who doesn't even seems to have any feelings of sadness?" she continued.

" 'Course I am," Y/N answered. " Anyway, after I gave her a box of tissue she started telling me about the person she hated the most and who I don't know because she didn't tell me her name whatsoever. Oh, and the person is a she. So... know any female that Pegasus hates the most?" Y/N asked.

Elsa and Anna both shook their heads.

" Not that we are certain of... Pegasus tends to keep her secrets to herself. Though I think I know someone who could be the person. But that's impossible. She's, like, long long long long gone or something," Anna said.

" That did sound like it. She mentioned about the person being "long gone"... so who is it?" Y/N asked again.

" About that... you might want to ask Manny. It's quite uneasy for us to tell about her," Anna said with a nervous smile.

Just as Y/N was about to reply, a black bird flew into the library through the window before landing on the table. It held a scroll of paper in its beak. Y/N hesitatingly took it and the bird tried to peck at her but she pulled her hand quickly, the scroll in her hand.

" Shoo, you mean bird." she said, waving her hand at it, and the bird seemed to be glaring at her before flying away.

She then turned her gaze to the scroll. She unrolled it and read the content.

It was some kind of letter.

Hello, Pegasus. How are you? You know you can't hide away from me...
Kiss, kiss ~ O. J

" What's wrong with people and their initials?" Y/N asked no one in particular. " And who in the world is O.J?"

" Not anyone that we're sure of..." the sisters said in unison.

" You should ask Manny about this too," Elsa said.

Y/N stood up and smoothed down her dress.

" Yeah, good idea. Right, nice chat. Bye." she said and waved a little at the two.

They waved back and looked back down at their books when Y/N went out of the library.

" Come in," Manny's voice called out from inside his room.

Y/N walked into the room and found Manny sitting behind his desk.

" Any clue who this is?" she asked and handed the letter to him.

Manny took the expensive looking piece of paper and scanned through the words. His eyebrows furrowed.

" I think I know this... O.J. Anyway, recently Pegasus is a little bit... off. Do you know anything about it?" Manny asked.

" I was about to ask you the same," Y/N said. " She said something about the person she hated the most, though." she added.

Manny looked up at her, his eyes wide.

" Y/N... oh, no... are you sure? Then we need to quicken up the time for Hazelia and the rest to come back. Y/N, I need your help. Do you have anything in mind?" Manny asked.

Y/N thought for a long time...

" I do have something in mind that might work... with a touch of magic," she said with a smile.
