Hazelia came back with a broom, duster, and a damp cloth.

" Okay, you wait outside while I'll clean this room up first." she said and went into the room and opened the windows to let the dust out. Then she started sweeping the floor. Jack Dark came in and grabbed the cloth and he also started wiping the furniture and windows. " I told you to wait outside, you're a guest," Hazelia said, her eyes set on the floor.

" Nah, I'll help. I'm hardly a guest..." Jack Dark trailed as he watched Hazelia while wiping a window.

" What's with the staring? You don't wanna trip on something, do you? Who knows, you might fall out of the window and come to your ultimate death," Hazelia laughed. " That'll be tragic." she added.

Jack Dark stopped wiping the window altogether and crossed his arms before glaring at her.

" I'm not staring. There's something there that you haven't sweep yet. How did you know anyway?" he replied, clearing his throat.

Hazelia immediately stopped what she was doing and pushed the broom to his chest.

" You sweep the floor then. I'll wipe." she said and snatched the cloth from his hand.

Then she wiped the window.

" Gee, don't be so grumpy... I'm just joking." he said, shaking his head.

" I'm not being grumpy. I'm being me," she stated. " And I sensed you've been watching. Don't deny it. You're still the same stalker you always are." she finished.

" I told you I'm not... I just... wait, there's really something down here." he trailed, crouching down and picking up something.

" Huh, you're bad at changing topics, Dark." she chuckled, her back still facing him as she went to the second window.

" I'm not... just, come here," he called.

She huffed and turned around finally and went to him. He showed her something plushy in his hand and she looked at it.

What she saw made her widened her eyes.

It was a plush rabbit toy. It looked so old that she picked up the toy and held it gently in her hands, like it could turn into ashes if she didn't handle it with care. Her eyes sparkled with tears and she wiped them away with her sleeve.

" You okay? I... are you okay?" Jack Dark asked, cocking his head at her.

She blinked and forced a smile up at him.

" I'm okay... got dust in my eyes," she assured him.

" I never thought you're such a bad liar up until now. You want to talk?" he asked again.

She shook her head.

" I don't want to. I can't," she replied and realized that he had knew she had lied about the dust getting into her eyes. " You didn't just threw some spell on me, did you? I... never blurted out to people like that. It's always hard for people to tell if I'm lying." she added and slapped her forehead. " Why am I telling you this?!" she asked, tugging at her hair.

Jack Dark chuckled.

" It's funny to see the way you're acting. But no, I won't force you to tell me about this... old toy. We should keep cleaning up now. You might want to go to Tash's and mom's bedroom next." he said and continued sweeping the floor.

Hazelia shrugged and wiped the window in silence.

" By the way, where's your dad?" Hazelia asked, breaking the awkward silence.
