" Oh my goodness, what are you doing, Y/N? You should be getting ready!" Y/N's mother, who would soon will only be Queen M/N (mother's name, in case you forgot), told her daughter who had been staring at the dress Pegasus made for her on her bed while standing in only her bathrobe. " It's your big day, dear... come on, get dressed." her mother added.

" It will be embarrassing, mom. What if I do a mistake while reciting the vow for being queen? I mean, other princesses always memorize their vows at least a week before the election and I got to only memorized it yesterday." Y/N sighed, crossing her arms over her chest.

Her mother smiled and patted her shoulder.

" Are you ready, Y/N?" she asked.

" Of course I am... but—"

" No buts. If you're ready, everything will go smoothly. And it's just like yes or no questions, honey," the queen interrupted.

Y/N smiled, feeling her confidence building itself up again.

The queen picked up Y/N's dress and handed it to her daughter.

" Go and get dressed," she ordered and Y/N took it before going into the bathroom.

When Y/N came out, the queen smiled brightly at her.

" What? Is there something wrong?" Y/N asked.

" You look amazing, my dear," her mother complimented.

Y/N looked at herself in the mirror to find that she loved the dress.

The dark red of the dress contrasted her pale skin and brought out her eyes. It hugged her body perfectly in smooth satin fabric added up with the sequined top.

" Now, it's time for the makeover!" the queen exclaimed before grabbing a makeup brush and started putting on some makeup to Y/N's face.

" And... done!" the queen said cheerfully before taking Y/N's hands in hers and brought her to the full length mirror before Y/N gasped when she stared at her reflection.

" What... happened to me?" she asked in disbelief.

Light smoky pink eye-shadow covered her eyelids and the matte bright red lipstick made her looked like a true Queen of Hearts.
Her hair was styled in tousled waves that cascaded down her back.

" What happened to you? You look stunning! Like a queen!" her mother exclaimed, laughing delightfully. Then her face turned thoughtful before she turned around and picked up a white shoebox from the floor that Y/N hadn't noticed before and turned back to Y/N. " I want you to have these and wear them today."

Y/N stared at her mother, confused, and her face changed into awe when her mother pulled out a pair of black converse-like sneakers/wedges, so it looked like the person who wear it will look like they're wearing high-heeled shoes.

" Mom... this is so cool!" Y/N exclaimed excitedly, feeling relieved that she didn't have to wear the normal bright red high heels that she normally would wear on occasions like this.

" I know how much you love your sneakers and dislike wearing high heels. So, I thought that the traditional attire of the Queen of Hearts could be changed a little. Now put it on," her mother said and Y/N pulled on a pair of socks before slipping into the shoes which were extremely comfortable.

" Thanks so much, mommy." she thanked, hugging her mother.

" Alright, alright... let's go. We will be late!" the soon-to-be former queen led her daughter out of the room then.
