Chapter 33

Y/N woke up to find bright light spilling through the windows and she yawned and stretched.

She sat up and looked around.

Tasha, Janice, Merida, Hiccup and Pegasus were all still sleeping but Jack, Hazelia, Jack Dark, and Rapunzel were missing. She stood up and heard voices coming from the kitchen. She went to the kitchen to find all of them sitting at a table while eating a weird kind of blue bread.

Jack smiled when he saw her.

" Good morning, princess," he greeted.

She blushed and sat down while Jack Dark looked incredulously at them.

" This is unbelievable. How come when I called her "princess" she acted all casual but when you called her that she goes all red?" he scoffed.

Hazelia kicked him under the table and he winced.

" Ow... what was that for?" he asked.

" Let them be," Hazelia said. "They're sweet," she muttered under her breath.

" What was that?" Jack and Y/N asked her in unison while the others were already laughing.

" I said they're sweet. This bread... not you, dude," she lied.
" I have a feeling that I shouldn't believe you..." Jack trailed.

" Then don't." she shrugged and took another bite from the bread.

She handed a slice to Y/N who took it and bit into it.

It tasted like a mix of blueberry and some other kind of flavour Y/N couldn't put her finger on.

" Hazel's right... it's sweet," she commented.

" If only she knew what you actually meant," Rapunzel whispered from beside Hazelia.

Hazelia wanted to laugh but instead she choked on her bread and coughed uncontrollably.

Jack Dark, being the one near the jug of water, poured a cup and handed it to her.

She looked at him gratefully and gulped it down. Then she gasped for air.

" Man, that's really a bad start of the day. Thanks, Dark," she thanked.

The others all chuckled.

" Whoa, what's with the commotion?" Pegasus asked sleepily, approaching them, followed by the others who had been sleeping.

" Nothing that you need to be worried of," Hazelia said, her face flushed.

Y/N stood up from her seat.

" I'm going to check if the portal work now, okay?" she asked them all and they nodded in return.

She walked away then, disappearing to the living room.

She rummaged through her bag and searched for the portal, her fingers finally brushed across a smooth, round object and she pulled it out. The snow globe sparkled in her palm as she walked out of the door and stared at the globe.

" Okay, let's try this." she said to herself, blowing a sigh.

She thought of how she missed her room in the castle, her mother, the hot shower she wanted to take the second she step foot in her room, and the other things. She then whispered the fantasy realm into the snow globe and threw it on the ground.

At first, nothing happened.

But then, rainbow swirls appeared from inside the globe and it grew bigger, and bigger, and then...

Voila! A portal appeared!

She squealed and ran back into the house.

" Guys! The portal is working!" she exclaimed excitedly.
