CHAPTER 55: When a heart breaks, It don't break even

The next day, I came to the office.

"Dad, I want to meet Mr.Yu's daughter.." I told dad.

He gave me a surprised look. As if he's  not expecting me to say that.

"Not now Tristan. She's still undergoing therapy. She has suffered from depression before." he explained.

"Then" naupo ako sa tapat ng upuan nya. "Kailan ko sya pwedeng i-meet?"

"You've met her before. You liked her. That's why you agreed to the marriage." sagot nya.

I looked at him suspiciously.

"How about Chelsea? Why did you gave her that much money?" tanong ko.

And again, there was hesitation in his face.

Inangat nya ang receiver ng telephone.

"I will talk to Mr. Lee now. Go out." utos nya.

Tumayo ako sa upuan. He always changes the topic whenever I ask him.

I'll figure out whatever it is they're hiding..

CHELSEA'S POV

Hapon, nakauwi na ko galing sa school. Naabutan ko si Xyerah sa sala.

"Hey, Nakabalik ka na pala" I greeted her.

She excitedly got up from her seat. "Chelsea. I have a good news."

"Ano yun?" I asked.

She held my hands. "I'm not dreaming of scary things anymore"

Natuwa ako para sa kanya. "Talaga? Then that's nice. Congratulations"

"Pero" she frowned as she looked at me. "I'm going to New York next week.."

"Ha? Bakit? Akala ko ba sa UK ka pupunta?" usisa ko.

Umiling sya. "I need to find myself first. I feel like my dreams are connected to my life. I met a guy in my dreams. He needs my help.. "

I felt a little weird with her words. She doesn't sound fine to me. Hinila ko sya at pinaupo. "Are you sure you're okay?"

Ngumiti sya at tumango. "I'm really okay. I believe in my dreams."

Tiningnan ko sya ng mabuti. She looks fine. Hindi na rin sya maputla.

"I told my dad I don't want a fixed marriage. Surprisingly, he agreed. We will talk with Tristan's family on Friday.." she finally said. "I will go back home now. Kinuha ko lang ang mga gamit ko. I'm gonna miss you"

She hugged me.

"Kung magkakaproblema ka, bumalik ka dito ha?" I said.

"No. I'm pretty sure I've conquered my fears. Bibisita ako dito once na matapos ko na ang misyon ko sa New York. Thanks for everything.. "

Tumayo na sya. Hinatid ko sya hanggang sa gate.

"Good luck nalang sa pupuntahan mo. Masaya ako at okay ka na." sabi ko sa kanya.

Tumango sya. "Bye"

Kumaway ako hanggang sa makaalis na ang kotse nila.

Kinagabihan, tumawag si Tristan.

"Hello?"

"I miss you" he said in a husky voice. This sexy thing!.

"I miss you too" I said back. oops. I slipped.

He chuckled. "You really.. "

"Ano?" tanong ko.

"May I see you tomorrow?" paalam nya.
