SL Day 4

Day four of service learning was more shop time. Mr. Danny was on the computer again when I arrived, but as soon as I settled in he left the shop to me to go sand down the little wooden pirogues that he sells in the shop. I got to work on my crochet project while he was gone and people started coming and going. A lady and a high school student came in, and it turned out that the lady was Mr. Danny's niece. When Mr. Danny came back to the store they chatted for a bit. After they left and Mr. Danny went mow the grass, I nearly finished my project. Before I could cut the yarn and weave in the excess strands, more people came in. There was a lady that knew Mr. Danny who had brought another lady and her son. The two were visiting Place Where I'm At from Brazil. The little boy was absolutely enamored with Miss Kitty. He showed me his Lego men {he had a Yoda figure, heck yeah another Star Wars fan!} and we told each other about our dogs {he told me his dog's name but it was some Portuguese word so I have no idea what he actually said} before he toured the museum with his mom and the other lady. He was really sweet. {It was at this time that Miss Kitty betrayed me again. Cats are fickle creatures.} After they left I finished my project, and by then it was almost closing time. I played on my phone {Tumblr, but I'm definitely not gonna tell my teacher what I specifically do on my phone, that's just weird}, a few people came for feed corn, and then my mom called on her way to work. Mr. Danny came in to start closing up while I was on the phone, and the call failed because my mom had bad reception. Mr. Danny finished closing up and we said our goodbyes and left. {I need to figure out how many hours per session I need to do in order to stretch this out until the semester ends. I'm supposed to turn in a journal thing every week, so it would suck if I got points taken off my grade because I finished too early.}
