KATNISS POV:
I wake up early on Monday morning and decide to go for a run around town. I stop off at the bakery on my way home and buy a cheese bun of Steven. My Favorite! I get back home around 7:45 and jump in the shower. I change into a Iron Man jumper and black leggins with my white converse. I throw my hair into a bun and apply the smallest amount of makeup that I can. Just as I put the cap on my eyeliner I hear the car horn from outside. I grab my bag and stuff my things inside it before running out to Peeta's car, slamming my door on the way.
"Hey gorgeous" Peeta says, pecking my lips.
"Don't, I know I look like utter crap" I say sittting back in my seat. "I thought it would be a good idea to go for a run but turns out I was late back and didn't have time to make myself look good!"
Peeta just frowns and takes my hand in his. "You always look amazing to me Katniss, don't you ever forget that Okay?"
"Okay"
He pulls out the drive way and speeds down the road to school seeing as we are already late. Peeta parks the car and we run into reception and grab a late slip. Seeing as Period 1 only has 20 minutes left we decide to skip it. We walk along the field and choose a spot concealed by the tree's so that the teachers can't see us. I bend down and check for wet grass before placing my butt carefull on the ground. I take out my phone and demand that Peeta takes a selfie with me. I post it to Instagram with the caption of:
Late to school...Whoops @Peetabread
I click post and within 10 minuets I already have 100 likes. I'm addicted to Instagram and I have no idea why. Peeta turns to me.
"What lesson do you have next?" He asks me, grabbing his things off the floor.
"Umm Music? Why?" I say back.
"Me too, I just wanted to know if I had the same class with my girlfriend that's all" He says smiling as he pulls me up off the ground. We walk back to the music block holding hands and dreading what Effie, Miss Trinket, Will be like today.
We walk into class to see everybody else there but not Miss Trinket. I take my place next to Peeta and Finnick and await her arrival. Eventually she walks in and stands in front of the class.
"Sorry class! I was in a meeting!" She tells the class in her posh accent. "Today we will be starting the annnual singing competition!" She hollers and the class groan. She frowns.
"Come on now! Today we will be picking the 10 contestants from each gender group. If you are picked you may group up with your fellow competitors or you may go alone, the choice is yours. Now onto the choosing! Ladies first!" She walk to the glass bowl containing all the girls names from the class.
"Clove Silvers!" She shouts. Clove swears under her breath as she walks to the stage.
"Next is Glimmer Coin!" She joins Clove on the stage.
"Johanna Mason"
"Annie Cresta"
She picks 5 other people and I begin to think I'm safe until the very end.
"and finally Katniss Everdeen!" Great I think as I make my way over to the others.
"And now for the boys!" All 5 boys are chosen first and It's kinda funny. Their faces when they were called were all disgust and disappointment. Except Finnick. He was the only one who was pleased at being picked.
"PIck your group or decide to go alone you have 2 minutes!" Miss Trinket shouts, walking over to her desk.
The 5 girls I don't know immediatly group up so we all decide to group aswell. I try to listen to the boys but she calls time up and they stop and turn.
"I hope you have all decided as you will begin singing today!" I groan. "You have 20 minutes to prepare a song for your group!" We all run off to the difftrent studios and begin picking songs. We all decide to sing Move by Little MIx. W practice non stop and We decide that I will sing Perrie, Annie will seing Leigh-Anne, Johanna will sing Jessie, Glimmer and Clove will both sing the part of Jade.
We all return to class and Miss Trinket decided the boys will go first this time. I watch as Peeta makes his way on stage and stands in the center. He looks at me and gives me a small smile as the music starts. I instantly recognise it as You and I by One Direction. Finnick starts and sings Nialls part and then it switches to Gale who sings Liam. By this point i'm fiddling with my bag straps but when Peeta starts singing my head darts up. He replaces Harry in this part and when I look up he is singing directly to me! The other boys join in with there parts and as soon as the music has stops they all run off stage back to there seats. The class claps wildly when Peeta sits down I jump on his lap and Kiss him.
"That was amazing" I say to him, sliding back to my own chair.
"And now for the girls!" Miss Trinket sings. My group makes our way to the stage and we begin singing. The whole time Peeta is staring at me with his mouth open and I assume it's because i'm terrible. The song finished and we all stand there and wait for the applause. Nothing happens at first and I think "Were we really that bad?" but then the cheering and applause start.
I see all the boys stand up and start whooping as we walk back to our chairs. The bell rings and as I walk out everyone comes up to tell me how good our performance was.
My next to lessons were boring and tiresome so I couldn't wait for the lunch bell. When It was 2 minutes to go I packed my things away and stood up ready to go. I ran to the luch hall and saw everyone else there already. I kiss Peeta on the cheek and sit down. I reach for my purse and realise that I forgot it. I sit, trying not to let the others hear my stomach rumbling but Peeta notices. He looks at the empty space on the table in front of me and gets up off his chair. I grab his hand to stop him but he just shrugs me off. I frown and Look back to the others. Peeta returns 5 minutes later carrying a tuna and cheese panini and hands it to me.
"How much?" I ask him, taking it from his hands.
"Nothing for you" He says smiling as he returns to his lunch. I thank him again and tuck into my lunch.
*END OFF THE DAY*
I walk to meet Peeta by his car and see him leaning up against looking at his phone. I decide to jump up on him and walk around the back of his car. I jump onto his back and he shouts but I cover his mouth with my hand.
"Shhh Peeta" I whisper in his. I jump off his back and he turns around grabbing my waist.
"Why would you do that?" He says to me and I can't help but burst out laughing. He chuckles and gets into the car. I join him in the front and he drives me home. He walks me to the door before leaving again for his shift at the Bakery. Only 2 more weeks of school before Christmas Break!
I sit on the sofa with Glimmer and we both finish our homework. Glimmer makes Spaghetti for dinner and I slowly fall asleep as we watch a disney film...
